Post by: picgg on August 31, 2018, 12:04:02 PM
Hello,

I am 33 years old and been diagnosed with peyronies disease 6 months ago. Due to this I fell in deep depression and Anxiety.

During the last 6 months, I have taken so many medecations for anxiety and nothing seems working for me, actually they made my life worse.

Anyone who was able to beat the anxiety and depression? Can you share your experiance?

Its tough and I feel for you. For many here you kind of feel that it takes the highest importance in your life. With time you get a bit of recule to realise that it doea not have to define you as a person - and there are usually slow roads and options out there to make the condition better in some ways.

Don't forget as well that sharing and speaking helps - there are lots of telephone lines available with people to speak about your problems to.

Wishing you all the best .

Unfortentally, I couldn't find a good physcatric in my countery.
It has been very tough 6 months for me, with almost no sleep. I hope this horrible story ends very soon. I can't wait for the day I wake up with no pain.

Thanks bro...

Have a look out for free help telephone lines if ever too bad - if you are working most health insurance policies have put one in place.  Hard when you are going through it. For the phusical pain it will pretty much alwqys go away with time. There is loads of advice here around best options based on the conditions. Actually there is loads of advice on here in general ;-) Read up as much as you can to get ideas on a treatment plan.

For not being able to sleep - been there as well! There are loads of sites with tips and tricks around getting better sleep.  What worked for me would be to get up watch a series in another area. Apparently sleep experts recommend the following with anxiety:

"Stress is the enemy of sleep. In bed, our mind is left free to wander and anxiety concerning sleep will only make it worse.

It's difficult to keep track of time when you're lying down in the dark waiting for sleep. People often nod off and wake up again but it feel as if they're getting no sleep at all. This delivers fragmented sleep with much less time spent in the important deep sleep stages.

Sleep experts recommend that people with this problem get up and do an activity which distracts the mind from worry – such as a puzzle – before trying to sleep again."

Good luck Bro!

I had pretty bad anxiety issues........They normally prescribe an anti depressant to help....The problem with that is most of the SSRI's cause ED problems.........
They came out with a new med that when taken at moderate doses does not effect ED........
It's called TRINTELLIX and I've been taking it for about a year.........Expensive but it works......Good Luck
