I had felt 2 very small hard bumps years back that have not gotten worse but are still there. They are like 2 bb sized nodules that feel a tiny pebble. I havent had any pain or curvature. The bumps are sometimes very hard to feel and sometimes i can feel them easily. I have been to a few urologists in the past but they said they couldn't feel plaque and couldnt see it in an ultrasound.
Instead, the peyronies specialist said I have pelvic tension that is causing my flaccid penis to feel hard and have an hourglass shape when flaccid at times.
Does this sound like peyronies at all? Have any of you have had similar experiences? How accurate are ultrasounds for small/mild plaques. I am confused and just cant figure out what else these hard nodules ive had for years could be :-\ unless its possible for the tense penis muscles to be making bumps and veins feel harder

Doesn't sound like peyronies, and if no change in two years it sounds like you're in good shape. Maybe try the pelvic floor exercises fir the hard flaccid you describe.
thanks for the reply. Do you know of anything else that could feel hard like that? Maybe this hard flaccid/pelvic tension condition causes veins or other parts to feel hard due to tension.
Also, is Ultrasound the best/most conculusive test for peyronies? I'm wondering if it worth getting other tests done or if I should just start dealing with the pelvic issues I have
Mark, bottom line is that getting to a good uro asap will put ur mind at peace to at least knowing what u have. There is not a lot of things that can happen down there. Cancer is extremely rare. When my first started and I googled lump, hard spots in penis, peyronies was first thing to pop up. I had never ever heard of it. I had the text book symptoms. But everyone has had different experiences with symptoms. I'd get to a uro as soon as u can.
I got an ultrasound done by a renowned peyronies specialist in California and he didn't see anything. I am inclined to go with his diagnosis of course, but I am wondering if any of you know if ultrasound is capable of picking up really small scars/plaques? Also, do you think it is worth getting another opinion since I've already seen a doctor who is an expert on the disorder?
Between the doc physically examining I and the ultrasound, I would think u got good diagnosis. That being said, a second opinion is something many people believe in. If u get a second same diagnosis, I know I would feel confident hearing from two docs. U don't currently sound confident in what you heard from ur current uro.
I trust the doctor as I have read that he is one of the best there is. My main concern is if ultrasounds are accurate/sensitive enough for small plaques/calcifications. I guess my last question is if that is a good test for small bumps or mild cases? If not, are there any better tests to get if I decide to get a second opinion?

I am unaware of any other test or exam besides a physical exam and ultrasound. As for how accurate an ultra sound is, that I do not know.
I wanted to mention that the urologist I saw for ultrasound was Dr. Lue in San Francisco (I noticed he is well known on this message board). Do you still think it is worth getting another opinion? I'm not sure if I am going to find a urologist with nearly as much knowledge nearby as I live in a small town
