Well it is good you have an appointment with a Dr. You need to study the survival guide and educate yourself regarding peyronies and have a list of questions to ask your Dr. You may very well be healing from an injury either with peyronies being involved or not. Pain and curvatures are a sign that something is going on. Hopefully you can ask your Dr for an erect ultrasound to get a clear picture of what is happening.

Topical pain relievers will no do much for your penis. You should look into traction therapy and VED therapy. Educate yourself on these two things and be ready to bring it up with your Dr. Both of these can help in the prevention/healing of peyronies symptoms.

Cialis and other ED drugs are also usually prescribed because of their reducing inflammation and promoting erections. You should also try heat therapy as it does help with pain and swelling reduction. Also adopt the mindset that this battle is a marathon and not a sprint. Worry and anxiety needs to be kept at bay. If you adopt a strategy and you see some improvement keep with it.   :)

No it does not ALWAYS get worse. It may stay the same and never progress any further.

Hi!

I've been using Diclofenac/voltaren for a few days this week on the area where it hurts (left side of the penis near glans). I think it definitely helps with the swelling and pain, thankfully. But I started using it without consulting anyone nor checking in with my GP, and I'm unsure whether its safe to use on the penis or not. Does anyone know if it's ok?

For context, I'm currently debating whether I have acute stage peyronies or still recovering from some sort of mild fracture. Swelling, redness and ache/pain are the most recurring symptoms.

Hi all!

I need help clearing something out. I'm unsure whether I 'm in the acute stage or still recovering from a possible mild fracture (that basically might have happened from masturbation).

I've had symptoms since about 5-6 weeks ago. I got sudden pain and tingling on the left side of my penis during masturbation. Then the following days I had swelling and curvature. Was aching for a while, and a few other symptoms like weak and painful erections, but then it started getting a little better, less pain.
then I got a strong erection after not having a proper one for a couple of weeks, and it hurt a little and afterwards I felt i worsen, the swelling got worse and the next day I woke up with a strong curve, 60 degree-ish, and some days after that it went down to 45 ish, and  I think it's since gotten a little better curve-wise. but the left side doesn't inflate in the same way as the right. and my penis sometimes turtles/hardens contracted every now and then.. it's weird.

But I still have ache/ pain every now and then and some redness in the 'injury area'. I don't know if the redness randomly comes and goes or of it flares up from touching and pulling back foreskin to check...  I think I can feel somewhat of a dent too.

So what do you think my issue might be?

I should mention I have a couple of urologist visits scheduled in about a month, and I'm taking supplements from the survival guide, so Im mostly on top of things.

Btw, Topical diclofenac/voltaren helps a little with pain and swelling. used it a couple days this past week. my idea. Could it be bad for the penis in some way?

Thanks a bunch in advance!

I am making only my 2nd post here. I did not get any response from my first one, which is understandable. There are so many people suffering from this cruel malady here, and they all need advice and the comfort of others suffering from the same affliction.

I have discovered a dent in only the upper right side of my penis within the last couple months. So far it has not progressed or changed and I have started Varapimil cream under my urologist direction.

My question is.. once even a small area of scar tissue has been found ,like with my case, does it ALWAYS progress into a much worse situation? Am I living on borrowed time? No pain and no bend at this time ... erections are normal and frequent especially at night. I am 67 years young.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts ..

I am in the 9th year of the disease and the last one has gotten much worse, my penis is getting shorter, I no longer have elasticity, it is very tense and retracted with dysfunction. The times I gently stretched my penis with my hand I felt like I was breaking the fibrosis and my symptoms improved but it is always temporary and then it hardens and worsens (only once did I improve an area permanently).
I never used device, I wonder if it works or not, since some sell this for some reason. I'm losing hope.
