Title: Getting off Cialis
Post by: FrankPD on March 23, 2023, 11:46:24 PM
I've been on Cialis for about two months.  My last uro visit he told me that I'd be on it for three more months since I'm responding well to it after I got over the side effects.  He also said the Cialis was training the blood vessels in the vein that wasn't working to work again.  I'm gonna get weened off it after June.

Anybody ever hear of this?  Any experience with getting off Cialis then the issue of not be able to maintain an erection coming back?

You will definitely feel a difference in the quality of your erections, depending on your type of ED. I don't know why you are being taken out of the medication, but i assume you are taking the Daily cialis. Could you take the on-demand one right before sex as an alternative, or your doctor wants you off of erection medications in general?

I remember some study or something a few years back that reported that men who were on Cialis long-term actually had better erectile function even after getting off Cialis - probably the theory your doctor is working under, that it helps your body strengthen the erectile function/capacity.

Will be interesting to see your results.

I don't know for sure.  He just told me you don't take it for a lifetime.  Next appointment is in June.  Two weeks ago though the new subscription was a 90 day supply with two refills.  Maybe it will be every other day or every two days?  We'll find out then.  It works so good for me.

Thanks

Well, I've been on cialis daily for 7 years now. No ride effects up to this point.

I don't think this makes any sense. If you need Cialis, or any of the PDE-5 Inhibitor medications like Viagra, Levitra, etc., you take them for as long as you want to continue having sex. They're not a short-term treatment. Not sure why your doctor would say that. Maybe you need to speak with him further about this.

Hey Pfract, in the 7yrs of taking Cialis, is it still working the same?  I've only found studies of men taking it for two years and some say it stopped working for them.

Anyone feel free to tell your experience.

Thanks!

Hey Frank,

For me it has been the same, yes. It works better on cialis and especially if I drink some wine before.

I am ejaculating less than before but I don't think it's because of the medication.

Are you serious with wine?

Yes sir. Wine potentiates the effects of erection medications. This was told to me by Dr. Irwin Goldstein, in CA. I didn't believe it at the time, but i tried it later and i definitely feel the difference on a slightly more sturdy erection.

Oh man!  White or red?  I'm not big on wines but I will experiment.  Any suggestions?  You may dm me if you'd like.

Thanks!
