Title: Topical diclofenac/ voltaren - safe or bad?
Post by: Leftbanana on April 21, 2024, 11:28:15 AM
Hi!

I've been using Diclofenac/voltaren for a few days this week on the area where it hurts (left side of the penis near glans). I think it definitely helps with the swelling and pain, thankfully. But I started using it without consulting anyone nor checking in with my GP, and I'm unsure whether its safe to use on the penis or not. Does anyone know if it's ok?

For context, I'm currently debating whether I have acute stage peyronies or still recovering from some sort of mild fracture. Swelling, redness and ache/pain are the most recurring symptoms.

Anything applied to the penis is not going to penetrate deep enough into the lower layers. You would be better at trying other forms of treatment. Heat, traction and VED are a few to mention. Also Ibuprofen would be better internally than anything topically.
