Title: Had anyone had to sue their doctor? Surgery gone wrong / doctor ignoring ?
Post by: Jamesbond on February 17, 2021, 03:40:49 AM
I'm 29. I fractured my penis with my gf on Jan 10th (39 days ago). The ER urologist on call did emergency surgery. He did a 360 incision degloving and oddly a vertical incision down underside of shaft 1.5". The 360 incision absorbable stitches were very tight causing a bottle necking affect below head. The incision is also sloppy, uneven and swollen so large (looks like a cauli flower now) around my penis that actually comes up higher than my Penile head (not clean or tight) During 1-2 weeks post op, the underside vertical stitches came out exposing two large sections of the incision, the doctor said this was normal? Now it's extremely scarred and painful on my underside and overall my penis just looks way different than it did prior to surgery.....I emailed doctor again with concerns and got no reply (email, phone, + f) this to me is negligence x2

Now I cannot sleep at night ...it randomly get excruciatingly painful around both incision sights..this is not normal pain ..it's very very sore...I don't know or what to do

I would suggest  giving it time, getting a second consultation if possible if it is really bothering you.

Go to another Dr. What part of the US are you in?

I'm on the East Coast in CT. Doctor still hasn't replied to me it's been 58 days since surgery.  It's now late February so I booked an appointment several weeks ago with a new doctor in my area but no idea if he will be any better I see him March 9th  (I'd imagine anyone is better than my last). My main issue now is serious pain ..it's not normal pain..I think it's nerve pain ...I get random sporadic bouts of severe pain for no apparent reason throughout the day in my penis..I think it's due to my last doctors hack job during surgery and wounds that healed open due to Stitches coming out prematurely. .if I have sex with my gf (carefully) I'm fine but then 20 minutes to an hour after sex my penis slowly starts to get VERY painful (same nerve pain feeling) it gets so bad I can't really function, I can't sleep until 5 a.m. sometimes, and it seems to gradually get worse ..then randomly just goes away ...it's bizarre ...something is wrong ...this was NOT like this prior to surgery and Penile fracture ...

I called dr levine's office in Chicago he said he would be willing to help but I'd need to schedule a consult then book for surgery etc ...but they don't accept my CT insurance so it would be all out of pocket ..I have no idea how much that would cost ...so I'm waiting

I replied to your post offering help and you didn't even reply. Funny thing is that i had a penile fracture, just like you. the chances of you talking to somebody that had one is miniscule, given the incidence of this and you had no interest.

there's plenty that i could tell you as i researched this extensively since 2014 and you said a bunch of nonsense there... but hey... more power to you!
