Post by: Kertmccarty on February 26, 2017, 12:30:12 AM
I happy to say I finally received an approval and just got my first shot but the reason I'm telling What happy is because I was told my the pharmacy plan that Xiaflex is no longer a pharmacy precrption that only Drs can handle and give the injections of Xiaflex so there for it is a medical surgery that requires Xiaflex and medical plan must pay for injections but it still cost me $1200 but it's better then the other I hope this may help someone that is having a problem getting approved I had to fight hard to get an approval for 2 months will the 2 plans ( medical, pharmacy ) planned tennis with case until I had to take some hard actions but as of 2017 medical plan must cover Peyronie's and the treatment for it and that only what I was told from express script/script world

I think you should go to war with your insurance company and a good urologist should help you by writing a narrative to the Insurance company as to the cause and effect of this disease.AS to being depressed I can only say that I am and there is the constant thought that intercourse may never again be viable for me due to the severity of curvature.I can only hope that by doing everything recommended by my urologist that some improvement may occurr. Do your best to deal with all the aspects of treatment which vary from imbarassment to possible significant pain due to the disease and treatment thereof. Good luck and give the insurance company hell and be persistant with them.I am sure they will cave if you and your medical team get on them and stay on them.
