Title: Congenital Curvature - My experience in Melbourne, Australia
Post by: Haks on August 20, 2012, 09:19:45 AM
Hello all,

I have been following this site for a fair while and recently took the plunge and had the 24 dot plication surgery performed by Dr. Christopher Love in Melbourne, Australia.

I am wanting to post a detailed report on my experience as it seems there is not much out there on peoples experiences here in Australia or any 'reviews' of Dr. Loves work. I am wondering if there are any problems with posting pictures of what my penis looked liked post surgery ... I know it is a bit 'full on' I guess but basically I had a few moments where I thought that my penis was going to fall off and I figure that these sorts of things will assist others in making the decision about surgery and also give them some more insight on what they could expect.

Thoughts?

Haks

As a policy, we are not posting pictures on our forum.
The reason is that we don't want to attract people that are searching the Internet for pornographic material.
From the other side, we will be very happy to read about your experience.
Instead of posting the pictures, you can explain how you was affected by the Peyronies and how the surgery helped.
You can do it by opening a new topic in "Introduce Yourself" board or "Surgery for Peyronie's Disease" board

Haks,

James is exactly correct but do I think your experience is clearly valuable and that assessing the surgery and a medical contact in Australia is also important.  We are going to discuss this in more detail to consider your request and the possibility of making some exception in the case of surgery.  Few penile surgery photos that I have seen could be mistaken for porn  :D

Maybe we could approve these on a case by case basis for for surgery patients.

Would you be agreeable to post these photos somewhere like dropbox or photobucket and place a link here?  If so, the administrators/moderators will discuss it further and let you know.

Title: Re: Hak - Posting Photos
Post by: Hawk on August 22, 2012, 09:52:43 PM
Haks,

After some discussion we have worked out a solution and will update our forum and rules to accommodate the posting of certain explicit photos.  Before and after surgical photos can now be posted in a child board that is listed right under the Surgery board in the forum layout.  The child board is only visible to registered members.  We did this for a couple reasons.  One is to keep search engines out of that area.  The other is to restrict those under 18 years old from viewing or posting.

A member can attach up to 4 photo to a post.  The administration reserves the right to delete any photos that are not considered to be of educational value to members seeking treatment for Peyronies Disease.

We will see how this works out and adjust our policy as needed.
