Title: My introduction + question
Post by: anxi on February 14, 2018, 10:30:28 AM
Hi, I am 17 years old and I'm still not sure whether I have Peyronie's. There's an obvious bend in both my flaccid and erect states but I don't recall any incident that could have triggered this.

I have a question: does the penis always bend TOWARDS the hard plaque? So if the plaque is on the right, will the penis bend to the right? Or is it possible that it could bend to the left.

I am asking this because I do feel one part of the penis which is just slightly harder than the rest, but it is on the opposite side of my bend. Thanks.

Additionally, this might be a vague question, but how hard (usually) is the plaque?

You are correct, the side w the plaque does not stretch w erection and thus becomes the shorter side (think of inside of banana curve) and this curves in that direction.

So if my plaque is on the left and my penis bends to the right, does this mean it's not likely I have Peyronie's? @Tsanchez12369

Anxi, I am sure this is very difficult and scary for you at 17.  Without knowing the extent of what you are seeing I would recommend that you see a doctor if you think there is something wrong.  I would also talk to your parents too, I have a son your age and if he were to come to me with this I would make sure we went to a doctor.  I can't say how yours would react, but this is nothing that you should be embarrassed about, or think that you did something wrong.  But this isn't something you should ignore or hope it will go away.  There are a lot of knowledgable people on this forum, but seeing a doctor, maybe a pediatric urologist (yes they exist) is the way to go.  I hope you can do,this and I really hope you find out it is nothing... Good luck

Have you only just noticed this curvature?  Or has it always been there to your knowledge?

I believe it has always been there

It sounds more like it is congenital. Is it a gradual curve, like a banana?

It's probably a congenital curve which is not caused by plaque.  What you're feeling is probably unrelated to the curve but should he checked out by a specialist.  If needed they can do an ultrasound to see what it is your feeling.
