Post by: kamisuka on February 18, 2016, 04:57:20 PM
Dear members,

It is my third day since my uro prescribed my cialis 5 mg.
During the nightime it gives me very frequent erections, wich is good. (bloodflow hasn't improved yet, but okay, it's only day 3..)

The problem is I alkso experience, is a hard painfull headche during the 2nd part of the night and after the first few hour I woke up.

Anybody else experienced the same?

Thanks in advance.

Kami

kamisuka

Reduce the daily intake to 1/2 pill a day, so you will take 2.5 mg.
You can increase back in the future to 5 if it will be necessary.
My head each reduced to nothing in the 5 mg dose during time. Started with 2.5 mg

Hi Kami,

I've been taking Cialis on and off for 10 years. Initially it gave me a headache and a runny nose, but that stopped after a few months and now I get no side effects at all, despite taking pretty high doses.

You say bloodflow hasn't improved, but you get frequent night-time erections. I would say that your bloodflow has improved!

Best

I take 2.5mg / day

When I first started I was taking it with lunch and got no side effects at all

I was then told I should be taking it at night so I started taking it with dinner and then got headaches before bedtime. It lasted for about 4 days and now I don't get the headaches

Gutted - Cialis is most effective when taken on an empty stomach. I'd recommend waiting a hour after your evening meal for full effects.

Interesting ..... do you mean for ED ?

I don't have ED but am using the daily low dose in conjunction with Pentox during the VED therapy.

I notice it doesn't say take at night on an empty stomach in the Eli Lilly drug info sheet in the box of tabs.

I'd be interested to understand the "why" on this to improve my knowledge

Many thanks

Yes, I would mean ED. I can only talk from personal experience that Cialis seems much more effective when taken on an empty stomach. My layman's guess would be that it is more concentrated in the blood if digested separately...but who knows.

As for taking at night....as the penis is most active at night, I wonder if this is when you can 'make the most' of the benefits of Cialis. For ED at least, Cialis requires stimulation to work, but this stimulation can be that element of REM sleep that causes nocturnal erections.

OK thanks .... all I can add to that, in a Peyronies Disease (not ED) context, is that in the opinion of the last 2 urologists I have seen, they both said Cialis has no effect whatsoever on Peyronies Disease other than possibly helping plaque stretching and blood flow at night as it is promoting night time erections

Exactly the reason why it helps with Peyronies. By stretching the plaque is softening it.

I know from my talks with him that Dr Kuehhas believes that Cialis may well be beneficial for Peyronie's disease.

He is far less enthusiastic about Pentox though.
