Title: Ciao a tutti
Post by: Roloop on January 09, 2023, 06:37:13 AM
Hi everyone, I'm 57 and I write from Italy.
At the end of August 2022 you underwent radical prostatectomy due to a tumor. The consequent erectile dysfunction was inevitable... I just started injecting the caverject with good results, yesterday for the first time I noticed a slight curvature of the penis to the right, I'm starting to worry!!
Thanks to the admins and all the members of this valuable site

Injections cause deformity in some men like me, ask your Doctor if you can keep injecting but you cause the risk to get worse

Hello Roolop,
Caverject (known also in Italy as Prostagladine) can cause fibrosis or pereyones. I believe it's also written in the leafleat. I have read somewhere that the probability are like 2%.

Anywyas you are in a initial phase so it can be cured easily.

Hi Roloop,

when you inject are you rotating the injection site and going to different places? It is important not to inject in the same site without giving the tissue time to heal. Also, are you compressing the injection site for 5 minutes post injection to ensure no bleeding occurs?

Unfortunatley, injections carry a risk of fibrosis for some men so if the pills don't work and the injections are causing fibrosis you may consider an IPP. But there are things that you can do to minimize fibrosis risk you may want to ask your urologist if pentoxifylline could be used a prophylactic to prevent injection scarring.
