Title: What types of pain do you experience?
Post by: TheTollundMan on June 05, 2018, 12:22:01 PM
I believe I'm in the acute stage now... about two months in. First month was a dull soreness/aching and some random sharp pains, second month is the same but the pain seems to be more localized in the glans, and a general dull aching can be difficult to localize at times. Sometimes it feels like it's in the base of my penis, other times it feels like it's just below my scrotum. Weird.

The random sharp pains so far have been the most disconcerting. About to enter month three soon.... no obvious deformities yet. Erections have always felt tight to me due to my congenital curve, but now they feel tight and HARD like bone! This is after my (flaccid) ultrasound was done last month and the test results showed no abnormalities or scar tissue.

I'm wondering what sort of pain you've experienced or are experiencing, and did anything help relieve it?

Edit: I'm afraid to palpate my penis to feel for scar tissue. I'm afraid to touch the thing at all.

Pentox has been helpful to many.  Also, diclofenac sodium gel, 1% OTC and 3% Rx

I've experienced all types of pain. Painful erections, flaccid aching, and then those random sharp pains while flaccid, I'd say the most difficult to deal with are the painful erections. Being arlused is a normal part of life. And causing yourself pain simply by acting like a normal human and being aroused is... depressing. No other way to put it. I'm 3 months past my injury and my pain has decreased greatly. I can now hold an erection with almost no pain. I'm taking pentox, magnesium,& coq10. As well as using H100 topical cream and abstainig to the best of my ability. As of right now, those are the best things we got for when you're in the very acute phase. Later on traction is key.

The only real pain I experience is when I get super hard erections in the middle of the night or the one off spontaneous one during the day.

It stings mostly. Used to hurt way worse and sting all day long while also feeling bruised/beat up. Not sure what to compare it to. The pain was never unbearable, the fact it always led to worsening of the deformity was what made it very though to deal with. Made me lose focus on everything else I was doing and made it difficult to relax. Not sure why, but I still get worse after years. It hurts less and it progresses slower than it used to, but I never really came in "chronic" phase.
