Title: Traction - Only improvements
Post by: tommarkey on August 02, 2012, 01:03:23 AM
Guys, I had read a lot about traction, but testimonials about improvements/worsening are mixed and spread, then it's hard to have a conclusion. I thought about creating a topic about improvements, like the topic about improvements on peyronie, but just to experiences with traction.  I think another "official" topic about worsening and injuries (testimonials) caused by traction could be helpful too, because we have three that only ask about this possibility. I'm now with my Andropenis and Phallosan but I don't know if i should start them with the VED or not. I remember that i read here good things about traction, but today i did not find them, just the bad. I hope it will be helpful, especially for those like me, that have some difficulties with english and lose some time on messages comprehension (we will save time on finding). I apologize if our moderators friends judge unnecessary. I would like to ask for all of you to move testimonials about improvements on traction to this topic.

Thanks,
Tom

tommarkey,
I'm OK with the topic here for now. Let's see if we get any responses.

I've got about 300 hours of traction under my belt so far. I experienced a bit of soreness under the head recently so switched to a vacuum traction type device for now. I guess every device has its drawbacks. Apparently you can get blusters with vacuum traction devices. My flaccid hang is definitely much improved. The curvature has reduced slight while erect too, though nothing dramatic (I guess that's too much to ask). Primarily I'm using it to reduce the chance of hinging causing problems. Traction has a decent track record with that if the info in the studies is anything to go by. Will report back at 1000 hours.

Been doing traction with the Andropeyronie from Andropenis for 4-9 hrs each day for the last month and a half. A fair guess would be that I've reached 150-200 hrs wearing the device .

I have seen massive improvement in flacid length gain. I havent made any measurements but its definately hanging lower than it used to. When it comes to curvature correction I stil havent seen any change in my 45 degree angulation to the left.

Hopefully I'll be able to report back later when I start noticing any improvements with regards to curvature correction.

That makes complete sense that your flaccid state is longer, all you're doing is stretching the tissue. When it becomes erect everything would return to normal - this is what I'm told but if someone has experienced otherwise I'd be interested to hear.

Hello jeanT
I'm pretty experienced in traction. Typically first you'll see flacid gain, then erected girth gain, then finally erected lenght gain. As for curve correction they optically will come from girth erected girth gain.

Ben

Can you give some numbers regarding the length and girth improvement versus time/usage hours?
I am very interested in the subject as I would like to gain back maximum length and girth before implant.

James,

I lost right at 2 " from Peyronies Disease and total ED (without drugs) and Prostate Surgery.  In my first full month with traction averaging 3.5 hours a day (varied from 1 to 8hrs ) I gained 5/8 of an inch.  There was a slow down after that.  Also that is not approximate.  That is an exact objective measurement using BPSFL and Mark on a VED tube during full pumped erection.  I also gained about 1/4" to 3/8" diameter which is less exact than length.

While that may not be a lot, if I had lost another 5/8 of an inch I would have thought it was huge.  There is also the psychological impact from just seeing a reverse of fortune.

Hawk

Thank you for the answer 5/8" is a lot for me now. I can't find a tracking device here but I will be in Singapore in some two months time, I hope I will find there.

James1947,
You can buy a device from Andropenis, a reliable company but buy some standard nooses with it, because comfort nooses are just useless.

As Hawk said the beginning is kind of magic, you'll gain back a good amount of lenght and girth.
I would say after 250 hours i've gained back more than 1cm. After more than 1200 hours i've gain back a little under 2cm I think.

Then i've done crappy  things with my dick and made new fibrous lesions with loss of healthy tissues. So i'm back in the saddle before implantation. Now I can stretch 1cm below this summer, I may convert this as 0,5 cm gain.

Ben

Thank you for the advice. I will follow it.
Your results are very encouraging as every fraction of cm is important for me after losing 2&1/2" and half of my girth. Got back 1/2" with the VED so now 2" shorter. The problem I see is that if I stop using VED for a while days (last time one month in Holiday) I am losing this 1/2" again.

...comfort nooses are just useless.

I could not disagree more.  If I had to choose only one attachment system, it would be the comfort strap rather than the conventional noose.  I think the comfort strap causes less trauma to the penis and is general more comfortable.  I do switch back and forth to alternate pressure points if I start to get slightly tender.

Hi Guys - new to the site.

I started of with the first symptoms of Peyronies Disease (pain) in the autumn of 2009 and by 2010 had a 45 degree shift to the left.

I was recommended the vacuum pump which I used religiously and this straightened it out initially but what I have now is a ? shape - it bend in two places - half an inch from the base and just below the head with the bow of the ? downwards - i.e. my penis points upwards.

I have lost 1 1/2" in the base to tip length and feel I have lost length and girth.

I threw the pump away as my Urologist told me that the 18 months growing period was over but as I still occasionally get the pins and needles twinges (that warned me of the onset growth - my technical term) I am not sure that the Peyronies Disease has "settled".

Through the post today came from the recommended pump suppliers some bumf on the Andropenis and I am considering that at this stage I don't think it can do a lot of harm.

I found the forum whilst researching the Andropenis.

Part of the issue with Peyronies Disease is self image and as a recently divorced man I have shied away from intimacy in order to not have to expose my ego to the talk about my penis and then the concern as to whether a) I can perform properly (long time since last had sex) and b) whether the shape I have will suffice! At 53 years of age it is a scary scenario and whilst confident I will find a solution I was hoping for the miracle solution.

I would point out at this stage that masturbation is not a problem apart from the disappointment when looking down  :)

The question to the forum therefore is whether they (you) believe the Andropenis is worth a go?

If I do buy it, should I get the comfort pack as well (£50 is a lot for a few plastic straps!!)

Traction is worth a try.  I am personally only familiar with the X4labs extender Penis Extender Comparison (http://www.x4labs.com/compare-our-extenders.php) although most of these devices are very similar.  just stay away from extenders without springs.

The deluxe is competitively priced and comes with noose and comfort strap so you can figure out what you like or switch back and forth.  You will want the option of switching, especially if you have plaque near the head.

Let me warn you that traction takes a commitment and takes some effort to work into your day.

4Xlabs, Fastsize, Andropenis and more are just a few brands. Most are VERY similar but a one time the X4labs was the only one that supplied both the noose and strap option in one unit.  Spring loaded traction is a MUST!

I agree with Hawk. I would rather do something than nothing. Traction is not a cure all but worth a try if you dedicate time to it.

Grey,
or anyone who knows what he means here.

What do you mean by the 18 month growth period?  Are you implying the VED will only help restore length in the first 18 months?

Goodluck,

Here are the hard facts, no pun intended.  Peyronies Disease often flares up multiple times.  Peyronies Disease does not follow the neat established pattern that we often hear ie: active phase 9 - 18 months then stable or chronic phase.

I have known men that had 4 or 5 flare ups of active phase separated by 1 to 3 years of stability.

I refer you to Can we ever be sure Peyronies Disease ever truly stabilizes - (Completed) - Peyronies Society Forums (https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,244.0.html)  Read the poll and the comments that follow the poll.

Wow - sometimes you just need to research.

My original (and subsequent) consultation imparted the fact that after 18 months the Peyronies stabilises / calcifies and that using the pump for longer would be potentially detrimental.

What I found was that the pump did straighten the penis although the "hour glass" was prevalent. Whilst it straightened it left to right, I developed this ? curve which results in the final curve being level with half way up the helmet. It is odd, distorted but not painful. I was then advised to stop using it and after a couple of months I threw it away.

I was also told that it might just go away (been praying for that one).

My experience was at odds with the advice I perceived I had been given, telling me that the disease was still active and hence my thoughts when I received the pamphlet about stretching / splinting. I say perceived - when you are in consultation you do not necessarily pick up all of the points but I will point my consultant to this forum.

I am not in anyway looking forward to weeks of splinting but I will give it a go.

Reading the related postings are, to be frank, slightly depressing - especially the guy who has lost 3 inches! The message seems to be live with it but don't give up.

My warnings that something is still happening are a kind of pins and needles type feeling and the last experience was in the tip which resulted in the "tipping" upwards of the helmet. I believe therefore that it is still active and I hope that the "rack" gently applied will make a difference.

Not tried Jelquing - never even heard of it before this forum and advice seems against it.

I really hope the drug treatment comes through.

Just as an aside - I found this NEW MALE PRO PENIS ENLARGER/ EXTENDER/ STRETCHER/DEVELOPER PUMP SYSTEM MAN MEN | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-MALE-PRO-PENIS-ENLARGER-EXTENDER-STRETCHER-DEVELOPER-PUMP-SYSTEM-MAN-MEN-/251045297932?pt=UK_Health_HealthCare_RL&hash=item3a73773f0c)

which looks to be extremely similar to the Andro but for 10% of the price!

Thank you for your advice to date.

Just make sure it has springs in each barrel.

I wouldn't buy any traction device on ebay for these cheap prices. There are a lot of poorly made devices which will worsen the condition save your money and buy directly from the manufacture.
