Title: Penis is cold after using extender
Post by: Stevew87 on January 11, 2015, 03:55:59 PM
So i've been trying on the andropenis extender. I've found my glans especially getting cold with just about 10 minutes of use. I don't think my glans protrude much making it hard for the penis to strap in. Am i applying too much force? I massaged it for a while after and it went back to normal in a minute.

Yes start with less traction.
Keep it warm with warm wraps if you like.

Never let it get cold..will only worsen stuff. Sucks and could mean you have to change and restrap every 30 minutes. After some tiem you reach longer and longer times. jsut start with low tension.

I didn't have it on a very high tension though. Like you have to do this thing where you start out on 4cms less than your stretched length. Do you think the strap was too tight or something? Although my whole penis did feel cold not just the glans.

Yeah. It takes some trying and fiddling around to find the best wrap and then the best amount of strapping intensity and tension. But it will get better with experience.

I replaced the strap with a flexible band(velcro or the ones you find around the sew/stichting department) that is as wide as the slits in the head pice(or holes depending on manufacturer). IMO it is more flexible to use.

There is also the option of also called vac attachment(google vac extender attachment) which works via vaccum on the head.

Contacted Andropenis support. They said it's ok if the penis gets a bit colder it's always reduces the blood to the glans a bit. I think it's when the glans change colours you should take it off. I have been putting it on and if i made it a little looser my glans would slip. What do you guys think? I mean if you use it for too long the blood circulation can cut off then you can loose some or all sensitivity in the glans.... but i think you'd see the glans change colour alot sooner before that right?

Steve

I tried traction, also the ProExtender (spring loaded) and the silicon cup with the leg strap.
With both devises I got cold and white glans after 10 - 15 minutes, this is the reason I stopped.
Lately I tried again the silicon cup device and after 15 minutes it separated the skin from the glans with a big fluid filled balloon, near the urethrae. Difficult place to heal.
So now I am out of sex for a while. :(
I don't want to discourage you as many members had success with traction, it just didn't worked for me.

Stevew87........James' comment is probably true, the traction may be a problem for some people just like the VED does nothing for me.  But, in regards to the penis getting cold, I personally would not get overly concerned about that.  I use a traction device for 2 hours and then I take a 30 minute break and start traction again for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.  My penis does get cold and will lose a little color but it should go back to normal after the traction sessions.  What I think is important is to be doing something to break up or shrink the fibrous condition that has caused the peyronies.  I use a topical solution of my choice and I use a Rice Sock (heated for 50 seconds) for about 15 minutes on the injured area.  The sock starts to cool down after 10 to 15 minutes.  I personally don't think the Traction Device will do anything without doing something like I said above...........This is just my personal opinion.  dplookin

I'm using it purely for penis enlargement though, i had surgery for a natural (congenital penis curve) and now want to get some size back. Thanks for clearing that up dplookin andropenis also told me the same thing. I think if you have it on quite tight for a lot more then 2 hours then it can cut off blood flow and be really bad but yeah. I put it on carefully so literally if its a bit looser my glans will slip out.
Do i really need to heat it up? i can sit infront of a blowheater i have at home. I do 3 times a day penis stretching as far as i can stretch it (part of the recovery from penis surgery) i think that will help.

Stevew87............You ask if you need to use heat.......use heat only if you have the bad curvature caused by Peyronies.  The heat is suppose to help soften the fibrous condition while using the traction device.  dplookin

First time properly wearing it for a good hour. You do notice it's on. Will i eventually not really feel it?

Ok wearing it is fine now. What i do is stretch my flaccid penis as hard as i can 30 seconds 10 second break for a few minutes (did this for penis therapy for natural penis curve surgery) and when you put the device on your penis when stretched doesn't trying to retract/pullback as it would if you didn't stretch it before hand. Also when putting the wires/bands into the grooves, when you have found a good tightness for your glans mark it with a pen.

Does an extender help for upwards curvature ?
Or is it only intended for making the penis longer?

The extenders work for both length and curvature.  I have the Restorex which you can stretch and bend simultaneously to work out a curve and address length.  To me its the best one I have tried.  I went with some cheaper versions and they weren't great.

And yes, you lose blood as you use them so the penis is cold to the touch... and I always have a nice dent in the head where the clamp went.  All of this disappears quickly, but sort of alarming when you start off.

The best addition to traction in my opinion is heat. Handwarmers, rice sock, whatever. Get consistent heat applied during your session and things will improve faster.

Have been using the andropeyronie device for 6 weeks. It always makes my glans/head cold. The rest of me penis is normal temperature. Have had no problems with sensitivity or any long term damage but i probably would be concerned if the whole of my penis were cold. I'd test it. Slowly increasing time used. There was 1 instance when I fell asleep with the device fitted for about 2 and half hours. Woke up with a numb penis in terrible pain. Took 2 night's sleep. Before I resumed traction. Another 2-3 days before I had completely recovered. You should be fine to test as long as.you take it slow.

Is it advisable for congenital curvature?
Or ill-advised to use when you have contracted Peyronie on top of the congenital curvature and it's not yet (fully) paused?

It's known to help w Peyronie's and shouldn't harm an cogenital curve.
