I started to use histamine blockers (anti hay fever - Loratadine) when I started to get issues with my erection. Now I read that some histamine blockers can cause impotence.
Does anyone know of a study or some reference cases that clarify if this side effect is temporary (e.g. while the drug is in effect it can cause ED) or if this can permanently damage the capability to get erections.

Allergy meds such as antihistamines have been known to cause erection problems. For me whenever I take Benedryl I cannot get an erection. I don't believe it is a permanent thing though.
Any effect is temporary. Histamine blockers work by constricting blood vessels in the nasal passages and elsewhere. In fact, they are used orally or injected to treat priapism.
That is, of course, the opposite of what you need for an erection and the opposite of what ED drugs like Viagra do. They relax and dilate blood vessels.
