Title: VED Vs Traction Therapy
Post by: john747 on October 14, 2021, 09:46:52 AM
Hello, I was wondering if there is any ideas on which of these methods have proven better for curvature. I understand they are best used in conjunction but if this wasn't an option is there a preferred one? I am more wondering about the stable phase.

I believe VED is better for dents and traction for curvature.

My urologist told me that the VED is detrimental for dents, but other urologists and members of this board say otherwise. Every individual is different, what it works for you maybe doesn't work for me. The key is to find what it works for you, that takes time and trial and error.

Traction has far more clinical studies than VED.  Traction does improve dents, according to one very small study by Dr. Levine.  Traction has more evidence for correcting curvature.
