Title: Change in color & loss of sensitivity in base of penis - help (scared)
Post by: Newmember10 on June 20, 2019, 04:34:34 PM
Hi all, totally new to this forum but it is very helpful. I noticed my symptoms almost over night about 2 months ago. I've been to both a regular urologist and a Peyronie's specialists, neither of whom could find any plaque or seemed very concerned with the change in color at the base of my penis. They both said it was probably some skin condition but I find this extremely hard to believe as it only started when the rest of my symptoms did and it seems to be getting worse the mroe i masturbate. My question is has anyone else experienced a change in color and loss of sensitivity around the base of the penis. My dent is on the underside of the penis at the base.  The visible scarring (from what I can tell) seems to be growing and I'm afraid that iwill basically take over my entire penis. The base also seems a little thicker than the rest of the penis.  It is visible both flaccid and erect.  Please help! It is really freaking me out.

Run, don't walk to another urologist.
The first urologist seemed afraid to touch my penis. He said he didn't see anything wrong with it.
The second urologist said he felt something and then put me on a drug that was ruled as a useless drug. I was taking about 20 a day, as I remember.
The third urologist said to come back in a year to see what changes occur.
Fourth urologist knew exactly what was going on and explained everything.
I then went to a fifth urologist and he confirmed what number 4 said.
So I had an inward dimple and some discoloration.
I am sorry you had a uneducated Peyronie's urologist, but they exist.
I used the internet to locate urologist and I would also call. If the doctors website did not mention Peyronie's disease I would not call them.
I am not sure how old you are, but some doctors think Peyronie's disease is an old man disease. This of course is not true.
Sorry you have to go through this. Sadly many of us have had similar experiences.
Feel free to message me if you have more questions.

The key is a doc who uses ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis.  Be sure  to read the survival guide:://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3180.msg44057.html#msg44057
I agree w step one, an indentation could be the first sign of peyronies.

The thick, discolored, numb, inelastic skin continues to creep up my penis.  It seems to begin with many small bumps which eventually even out to form this thick skin.  I am now having fairly severe and constant pelvic pain and my scrotum skin has been pulled up too the point that it is beginning to come around the sides of the penis and up the bottom.  This has caused one of the most miserable side effects, a webbed penis.  My scrotum skin now starts in the upper half of my penis.  My entire penis is numb except the top 1/4 of my penis and a thin strip of skin that has not thickened which runs down the underside of my penis.  All of this produces a miserable experience when walking, driving, or even sitting/lying down. I have lost significant size and also developed 2-3 ridges along the sides of my penis.  I have an appt at ucla in a couple weeks.  It seems hopeless for me at this point to be honest.  It has really taken a very severe toll on my mental health.

First question, did you go to a new urologist?
What did he/she say?
I am not a urologist. I can only discuss what I have experienced.
You definitely need to go to a different urologist and get help.
If you need help in finding a urologist, please indicate where you live, city, state, country.
hopefully someone on here may know of someone you could see to help you.
I feel for you.
Sorry you are going through this.

The symptoms you describe seem very similair to me. I also get these little white bumps or white (sometimes red/blueish) dots. Overall my penis changed in size, color and shape as well. My dent is near the underside of the glans and seems to slowly take up more of my penis too. I have seen the same discoloration in a picture of someone who has peyronies and diabetes, but I'm not sure what it is. Maybe it's not even peyronie's, but there definitely is scar tissue. How did you grt these symptoms? Do you masturbate often? I know almost for sure my issues are caused by jelqing and masturbating too much during my teen years but it's still getting worse and I'm 25 now. Let me know if you can get a proper diagnosis, because a urologist has never really been able to tell me what it is exactly.

The first picture is about one month ago and the rest of the pictures are where I'm at now. I am certain this is due to masturbation. I had a bad adderall addiction and would masturbate for hours and hours on end. Sometimes I would even spend the entire weekend masturbating. I would edge constantly and toward the end would masturbate even when it was soft. I am seeing dr Jesse mills in about 10 days. I will update you guys then. Thank you for the replies!!

I looked at my penis, it has similar marks. So who knows? I noticed some slight irritation from
Shaving around your penis, but I don't see it as a big deal. Penis skin tends to heal quickly, so I guess you could put some antibiotic cream on it, it might prevent any irritation, but I think it will heal in a few days.
Of course I am not a doctor, so I can only judge by my own penis. But I don't think there is anything to worry about.
I have put a generic antibiotic cream on my penis when i irritated my penis from too much sex, the cream seemed to help.
Good luck

Why all of the accompanying symptoms then? I'm not even getting erections at night now.  I can't feel a thing down there.

By the way that is not irritation from shaving, as I don't and have never shaved down there. I only pluck the hairs.

Hey bud, you should go to a different urologist. This site can be helpful, but basic care and with the issues you have described are all over the place and definitely should require a visit to a good men's health urologist.

I went to Dr. Jesse Mills and he confirmed Peyronie's. He said he had never seen webbing of the scrotum go all the way up to the head of the penis. Life sucks. Gonna start Xiaflex injections soon.

Newmember10, sorry for your problem. Of course as the owner of your own penis you would know better; but my penis skin looked like that my whole life. Webbing of the scrotum almost reach to glans on my left side where my congenital curve is. I also have a very tight curcimsicion skin, I always thought that is the reason for it, because I have hair even just a cm below my glans. I noticed this years before I fractured my penis and eventualy came here. I don't mean your doctor is wrong of course, but penises can look weird but still be very well functioning. Hopefuly it is not a serious thing.

Gonna start tamoxifen soon as daily cialis helps me and is proven to work against myofibroblast proliferation as well as tamoxifen. I expect it to work well. But i am not sure about the safety profile of it on men. Also, is there anybody here that has had a biopsy over their tunica tissue before? I am sure it can help the cure and i am scared of the procedure but if anyone has done it in a safely way i can find a workaround..

You working with a doctor on the tamoxifen? My mother takes that for breast cancer. Nasty stuff if not careful.
