Post by: Andros on June 02, 2015, 01:57:22 AM
Why cannot we have more messages in our inbox?

Is simply an issue of managing database size on our server. We have almost 10k members.

After 5 forum posts you have a limit wet for 40 messages in your inbox. After 100 posts your status changes and the amount increased. We feel 40 is adequate for new members and no one has raised it as an issue before.

In addition Andros, you can copy the inbox/outbox to your computer and keep yours empty most of the time.
Having 100th or 1000th PM's takes big place on the server, for this reason my post:

Yes that is a solution. Copy. It is just that when you are in conversation if you ask a question a lot of members  then inbox gets full quite easy but I can always copy the messages.

PM's to me also wind up in my e-mail.  I use an off line e-mail client and never actually delete anything...I have e-mails dating back 20 years...yup, really...some 23 gig of them.  My replies get lost though...it would be nice to have a setting to send replies to the registered e-mail as well.
