Title: Recent MRI shows hydrocele if bilateral sacs
Post by: RedWilly on May 12, 2020, 12:29:05 PM
I'm experiencing hard flaccid, lack of inflation of glans, inability to maintain erection, and obviously some degree of Peyronies although i have no curve.

I'm wondering if the hydrocele could be causing some symptoms like hard flaccid and Ed, or if it could be contributing to it.

Might the fluid be blocking or pinching some veins, causing insufficiency?

I'm afraid to schedule another urologist. They all say the same thing - "it's in your head" or "nothing's wrong" or "i can't do anything for you". At this point it's almost a waste of money.

I'll schedule one, but I'm not hopeful about it.

I'm interested in this too as at times i've though I had a hydrocele.

Would you by any chance explain your symptoms and the symptoms of the hydrocele please.

I've had some pain which has seemed to go from a part of my penis down to my scrotum, was thinking hydrocele or hernia perhaps.

Have you seen a Urologist who perhaps specialises in transgender surgery? i've noticed they are a lot more open minded.

At 35 I got a vasectomy, four months after the surgery I developed ED. I asked the " Urologist" who performed my vasectomy " Why do I have ED after the vasectomy?", he said that it was in my head WTF. Years later they checked my testicles and found a vericocele on my left testicle, due to the trauma of the vasectomy . Urologists don't care about their patients, they only care about their pockets

Bad Luck,  I started and have been administrator here with a lot of help for over 15 years.  I am known for being blunt and demanding evidence for outlandish claims of cures, treatments, causes, or any other statement.  I can't run a forum that serves men and couples if we don't run off of facts and evidence.  There are 13,000 urologists in the U.S.  How many of those do you have personal first-hand experience with and how many more of them do you have documented evidence of them not caring about their patients.  This is not a rhetorical question.  You made a strong claim and I expect an answer.

Either back up you statement or admit to popping off just to feel good without knowing what you are talking about.

You right, I'm just very upset about what happened to me, and the fact that the medical community doesn't recognize that vasectomy can cause ED in some patients

I do not know your case and I empathize with you.  I know it is difficult to see this objectively but you have to start off with the realization that just because the vasectomy preceded the Erectile Dysfunction is not in itself evidence that the vasectomy caused the Erectile Dysfunction.  How can you know it would not have happened anyway?  Understanding the systems involved in the erectile process, what part of the process did the vasectomy injure.  Testicles have no real role in erection.  A man without any testicles gets erections especially if he gets testosterone.

I wasn't aware varicocele can cause ED - my spermatic cord feels swollen and sometimes gets red on the outer side of the scrotum. Can a hydrocele be confused with a vericocele?

Can ED caused by varicocele be "cured"?

There have never been any real studies done that indicate a strong connection between varicocele and ED.  A varicocele can how ever reduce the testosterone that gets into the bloodstream.  There is some indication it might be associated with ED in younger men.  That is likely however just because of the impact on testosterone.

The solution to a a varicocele is a a varicocelectomy.
