Does anyone have any ideas on how to continue to use the VED without the rubber seal? I left the rubber seal at home and I'm on a 18 day long trip 3000 miles away and want to continue to do some pumping. Any suggestions on how to create some type of soft surface around the base of the VED to alleviate the cylinder digging into my skin would be muchhhhhh appreciated!
VED's vary in construction. If the VED mouth is a thin rim like a jar AND if it is not too large in diameter, you can simply rub some lube around the rim and press the rim firmly against the fat pad of your pubic area.
There are a couple of tips and cautions needed.
The area you press the rim against should be mostly free of pubic hair.
Be VERY cautious NOT to get lubricant on the scrotum or leave any space or gap or lack of backward pressing of the tube at the underside of the penis. If you do, there is a real danger of pumping a vacuum and relaxing or changing the backward force angle, and sucking a testicle into the VED. Often that then seals the VED, and it hurts like hell before you can release the pressure.
The Vacurect VED has a narrow base, only slightly bigger than my penis, and I typically used it without any ring.
Unfortunately its the soma erect and I'm unable to get an air-tight seal without the rubber seal :/

I am not sure why you say putting lube on the rim and pressing it against your body would not form a seal.
I also don't know what materials you have access to.
If you can get some of that heavy white foam packing material, I think you could make one. You might need more lube to seal it, but I would think you could make it work.
If you are married, you could get it mailed to you.
