Can an injury happen with no pain?

So I've been dealing with some Ed problems for the past few months. Mainly psychogenic and pied. I get morning wood most days and nte but I've been really paranoid and scared about injuries since reading these forums. I've been abstaining from masturbation and erection checking for the past few days and I've been getting pretty nice morning wood and ntes. Spontaneous erections are even coming back. Last night as I layed down for bed down I got 80% hard just from thinking about some sexy stuff. However I'm scared I'm gonna roll over onto an erection or just any kind of injury while sleeping. I sometimes involuntarily kegel with my boners and have been trying to stop through pelvic floor stretching and abstinence. However I get scared that kegeling against my bed sheets might cause damage (I sleep naked). I woke up with an erection but my balls were itchy and I went to gently scratch them and I think the discomfort along with just simply waking up from the annoyance made my erection die down. Every time I lose an erection I get paranoid and my mind starts trying to draw bizarre correlations with what might cause it to go away. So my question is if there was any kind of injury that occurred while sleeping; would I feel pain? I'm not feeling any pain and my flaccid state looks normal. I'm not gonna erection check because I've realized it's stupid and isn't the natural way to get hard, but I gotta stop this fear of getting injured in my sleep or getting injured from something as silly as scratching my balls. Someone please talk some sense into me.

I don't think you would injure yourself while sleeping. If this were the case, then every man would need to worry as we all get nte. The body has a way of protecting itself. If you were to roll over on an erection in the wrong position, you would feel pain from the bending. And this would wake you up before it caused any real damage.

If you have morning erections and night time erections you are fine, consider yourself lucky. Do you have any curvature, narrowing, dent.....?.

My first symptoms started early in 2019
I tried Traction device, Pentofixiline, Q10, TRT, L-Argenine, cialis
I have narrowing/dent/hinge on the left side of my shaft
My ED is getting worse
Had a PRP shot Aug 2021
I have a girlfriend
Age 46

@badluck I have a congenital slight upward curve and kind of a tight suspensory ligament but it's always been like this since I got my first erections. It never gave me any pain or any issues. I have a slight ridge on the right side of my shaft that I suspect is a hardened lymp node since it disappears when I get an erection and doesn't cause any curvature or any pain. You're right abt ntes I should be grateful for them instead of freaking out and worrying about injuring myself.

@LwillisJr thanks for the reassurance. I really needed that. I've been so anxious and paranoid lately but I need to remind myself the body has a way to signify pain and discomfort. I mays start seeing a therapist to further address this anxiety cause I don't want to live in fear and continue having all my energy revolving around my penis. But I really appreciate your comment it definitely helped put my mind at ease. You are very right if ntes were really that troublesome then every man would need to worry and there would be sleep protocols to defend your junk lol

It's very unlikely that a significant injury happens with no pain. Anyway, the most important thing is to be very careful.
