Title: Peyronies at age 16
Post by: Thomas_cfc_ on May 24, 2017, 10:06:52 PM
Hello, I am 16 years old, and recently found out I have Peyronie's disease. Belive it or not, I developed it by incorrect masterbating habits as a child. It makes me so angry, to be so ignorant if don't know I was doing it wrong.  I don't know how long I have had it for, I realized about a month ago, but I know it's in the Stable or (chronic) phase. It has a very bad downwards bend. This is so hard for me. I have a good life, and now, I am starting to feel suicidle. I'm scared of surgery, I don't want a smaller penis, or to be Impotent. I'm scared that it's too late to fix, or can't be fixed altogether. With the stress I'm suffering alopecia (losing my hair). I have scheduled an appointment with a urologist with my mom. I will have the appointment soon. I'm scared whatever happens, my life is screwed forever. Suicide sounds great. Please please please help.

Wow, it sounds like myself thrown back in 2007..just hoping your story might be different, and it will, with a little luck and all the information you can gather in here. My only suggestion is to do not rush into things, don't be hurry..

Thomas,

Suicide is never the answer for anything. While it may sound rational to do something like that, it is completely irrational. Moreover, the pain left behind is the ultimate act of selfishness. I am sorry I have to say this, but I want to interject rational thought into this discussion. I think you are in a better position than many people in that you are young and young tissue should heal more easily with the proper treatment. Xiaflex is available now and it wasn't available for many people on this forum when they developed Peyronies. I have seen improvement from Xiaflex and I am hopeful that continued cycles will get my package close to, if not back to, normal. Make sure your Urologist is specifically somebody that is a specialist in Peyronies. If the URO says just wait and see or nothing can be done, move on and find someone that is competent in the treatment of peyronies.

Good luck

Well said QuackAttack, let's all try and stay positive.
I live near Manchester and this week really puts (for me) peyronie's into perspective  :'(

Suicide is not a rational option.

Even if nothing works (unlikely), medicine is advancing very quickly. Wait a couple of years and there will be better treatments available.

Do not take drugs for the hair loss, that's for sure. Those are known to cause Peyronie's.
I am wondering if your hair loss is related to the Peyronie's, but I'm unsure.

16 is damn young man, but do not blame yourself. None of it is your fault. We live in a society that is ignorant of male sexuality, you are innocent. You are YOUNG, you will be in good shape later so hold out. You have a long life ahead of you.

had the same thing mate. be prepared to be distsnt from women for most of your prime. surgery is definatley the answer. wait till it stabilizes then get it sorted. what your left with is...what ur left with. life goes on. alcohol helps
