Title: Stem cell treatments
Post by: Doglegleft on July 23, 2018, 12:11:55 PM
Hello everyone,
First time post, 60 year old married male with Peyronies Disease for about 10 years now. Ive tried just about everything, verapsimal, traction, pump, xialflex and PRP shot all with little to no improvement. The people in Florida that offer gainswave now offer stem cell shots that they claim work great to reverse Peyronies Disease but its not covered under any insurance and very expensive. My issue is, they all say the procedures work great but none will offer any data to back that claim up. As would all in the forum, I would do or pay anything to get back to where I was years ago, but at this point any improvement would be great. Please advise if anyone has any info on it. Thanks in advance.

No research or even actual patient experiences to indicate it is helpful for peyronies...unfortunately.

Hi Doglegleft,

Welcome to the forum! Don't worry, you've come to the right place.

Regarding any proper studies about stem cells & Peyronies Disease, indeed you won't find anything yet... BUT we have one member on this forum who is presently going through a big whole stem cell treatment process, apparently with good first result. I can't remember the name of the thread, but you can use the research function on the upper-right side of the screen, and it should lead you to the right place.

All the best!

Thank you for the reply's fellas, I had read online that there was success in some studies but don't know how accurate that is. So many places out there claiming success with different treatments without any evidence to back it up, it gets very frustrating. I wish I would have checked out the forum earlier, I would have saved myself a lot of money on 2 PRP shots. Yes Gabriel I have read that thread and will continue to follow and greatly  appreciate the response. Also, another doctor in Georgia claiming great success treating patients with Peyronies from all over the world. But I'm from NY and they won't give me any info unless I went there and paid for a consultation. I don't want to mention the name because being new to the forum not sure if that is permitted. Thank again fellas

I was considering the Priapus shot and the gainswave. Did either one help at all? With any aspect sensitivity, girth, length, curve, or ed?

How bad is your ED?  It greatly influences the course of your treatment.  Please fill out a signature line so we don't have to ask the same questions over and over.  You will gt a lot more help that way.Signature Line - History - Peyronies Society Forums (https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,10819.0.html)  Include the basics (age, the degree of deformity, the degree of ED, treatments tried, etc)

I'm in the process of going through stem cell treatment; I've already had one round of treatment (fat stem cell/prp injected into penis/IV into bloodstream) and am getting another one soonish. I gained a little under half an inch of girth back and had improvement in a major dent in the worst portion of my penis (top third). Overall my assessment of the procedure is: helpful, but definitely overpriced.

Also, about priapus shots: they're basically PRP shots. Shockwave treatment seems to have no effect on Peyronie's, and a small effect on ED. In my mind it is most useful for homing in stem cells to the area treated, hence why they use it at certain stem cell clinics for ED/Peyronie's.

Hi JS1991 and Doglegleft,

What are the names or websites of the places doing the stem cells?

Thanks
