Title: Reverse Kegels temporarily increasing pain, continue?
Post by: orriw on March 11, 2022, 12:48:42 PM
I found out that Reverse kegels (releasing the pelvic floor by relaxation exercises) temporarly increases my pain, rather than making it better.
This, of course, sucks.
Still i think maybe i should continue it for some time because it may get worse before it gets better?
Your opinion?

What kind of reverse kegels are you doing? I would stick with stretches that specifically relieve pain but I'm assuming that also doesn't completely relieve the pain

For example i squat deep and stay there in a relaxed pelvic

Noticed that most of the times any stretch in the lower body (ham strings, lower back ....) help me with my pain a lot. For some time, then it always come back. I wonder if the stretching itself has any effect or the mind just gets distracted there for a moment
