As most of you know I injured myself jelqing. But if I have to believe the internet and also just common sense the number of guys that try jelqing keeps growing. Think about it, because of porn and society in general I truly believe more men are insecure about their size, there also STILL isn't a good surgical solution to having a small sized tool so jelqing seems tempting for all guys that have some insecurity about their size. So, assuming that more men will try jelqing, will this also mean more guys will injure themselves possibly getting peyronies? Do you guys think this might raise some awareness and speed up thd development of research?? I know it's a bit far fetched, but I can't help but think I must not be the only one and men today face the same insecurities I did and possibly mKe the same mistakes. I don't wish this disease on anybody personally, but in a way it would be good if more men developed this disease and it isn't so "rare" anymore. Is it fair to assume this will happen in the future?
I'm sure it's rising hand in hand, don't know if that will spur more research but couldn't hurt.
As a matter of fact, I injured myself because of insecurity too. I used a classic modeling-tucking technique to make your bulge look bigger (flaccid). I thought of this as, ONLY CLEVER, since I read it's basically impossible to injure your flaccid penis. Not sure how accurate that is, because here I am lol. I heard a snap one day just walking in the city, and after that it just got worse.
However, I NEVER tried to alter or change the look of my erect penis. Which I'm assuming you did.
I also was very rough in everything I did involving sex, but hey, who isn't?
I'm not sure how impossible my case is to solve, treatment-wise, or how impossible yours is. I just hope we both get a second chance, because we will be unstoppable then. Only a few people know what pain and anxiety this disease brings, and if we manage to get out of this both psychically and psychologically - we will be ready for everything.
QuoteAs more men do jelqing, will the number of peyronies sufferers rise too??
YES. This subject was discusses many times on the forum. A search for jelqing gives 204 posts.

Yes, and so do other conditions that affect the pelvic floor like Hard flaccid etc.
Many who do PE do it with a lot of stress which leads to mistakes that create injuries.
Generally, unhealthy lifestyles, wanking in a hunched position at the PC and pulling/bending on the penis too hard create an environment that is ripe to create peyronies.
unfortunely jelqing brings a lot of people especially young in this forum
@melting: that's my case, why do you say that problems on the pelvic floor are related to hard flaccid?
I notice a loss of elasticity of 5 cm approximately, between the scrotum and the base of the spongy body / urethra that causes me dysfunction. a disgrace

Tension in the pelvic floor creates problems "downstream" in the penis. One of them can be "hard flaccid".
