Title: Sex toy vs hand
Post by: popopo on November 15, 2016, 05:17:12 PM
Could dry masterbation worsen peyronies, compared to using for example a fleshlight kind of sex toy?don't think it matters much, but I often hear people talk about using a "death grip" causing scarring or loss of sensation so wanted 5o hear some opinions.

I almost always find sex to make things feel better afterwards, and mastsurbation to make things worse. Part of this is due to masturbation being seated with pressure on the prostate and perineum, restricting blood flow. Sex reversely shakes up your prostate and increases blood flow in all directions, getting your heart pumping too.

I changed how I masterbate a few years ago and now it's much better however. I use extreme care and focus on keeping my penis as hard as possible for longer periods of time. What really causes deformity and pain for me is masturbating and getting it over with in less than 20 minutes. I have to prolong it so the damaged areas completely fill out or I'll be sorry.

A sex toy would in theory work better in my opinion, but probably the other factors I listed are more important in my case.

Popopo, I use a fleshlight sometimes, always with lubrication of course.
I always last longer with 'controlled' breathing and last longer that way, if used correctly there is minimum risk of injury  :)

The whole thing about masturbation is moderation.  If you find that it takes a strong grip or aggressive motion, you are doing it too much.

Also consider dropping any porn use, if you do.

These things can add up to a lowered sensitivity (some psychological, some physical), which encourages a level of roughness which can cause/exacerbate any injury.

Agreed on all points. Fleshlight does make a smaller cheaper version called Quickshot. Only about 4.5" deep, open on both ends. Has the same awesome silicone guts. Use plenty of lube and go for it non-aggressively of course.

Go with the quickshot.  Better feel.

I am reasonably certain that the length of time erect + firmness of massage is the issue. Guys are great at optimising, as a young un I am sure I optimised things to the point where I could probably go from flaccid to ejaculating in minutes.

If I have sex for 15 minutes onward, my dick feels super healthy for at least a week. If I take the time to edge and let it subside for 3-4x in 30 mins, it feels almost as healthy.
