Title: Hello - New to the Site
Post by: FdHope on April 09, 2015, 06:06:53 PM
Hi all,

I'm new to the site and wanted to introduce myself.  Here goes..

37 years old.  Diagnosed with Peyronies with symptoms for 4 months.  35 degree dorsal curvature with appx 50-60 degree penile torsion.  February visit to Mayo Clinic in MN with Dr. Landon Trost for diagnosis.  Still in the acute phase and symptoms seem to be worsening.  Previous treatments have included Vitamin E, VED and Traction.  VED use lead to increased inflammation and was discontinued.  Accidental overstretching of penis with Traction, currently recovering from this before I will restart Traction again.  I have excellent insurance.  Devastated psychologically but reaching new levels of acceptance.  Currently in cognitive and psychiatric therapy 2-3 times weekly.  Am a recovering alcoholic and have adopted a spiritual way of life for the last 5 years.  I'm not currently in a relationship.

It sounds to me as if you need to find a more competent Urologist in your area. The one you're seeing is clearly no Peyronies expert. Vit E won't do you any harm, but it won't do anything for this disease either.

As far as supplements go, start with Citrulline malate, ALC, CoQ10 or preferably Ubiquinol. Low dose Cialis will help too. The drug that you need is Pentox. Hopefully a more clued up Uro will give you the prescription for it.

Keep going with the traction, but carefully.

Most importantly, treat this now. Wait and see doesn't work with Peyronies.
