Title: Ultrasound shows no plaque but can feel hardness??
Post by: Mentos on November 08, 2013, 03:03:49 PM
Can someone please inform me more about peyronies diagnosis. I was under the impression that ultrasound was the method for diagnosing however after my ultrasound yesterday we did not find any plaque at all and I had good blood flow.

I have experienced a hard line from base to too over th last few months which I'm pretty sure is new along with a few other thin Long strings.

Additionally I have always had an upward curve but I feel it may have increased.

Thanks for any direction here.

It may have a lot to do with the 'hardness' of the plaque. I do know what once plaque calcifies that this for sure shows up on the ultrasound. I'm sure a lot also has to do with the experience of the doctor and who reads the ultrasound results.

Will a plaque always calcify?

No, not always.
