Title: Questions to ask Uro about Xiaflex & other current treatments
Post by: Woodman on February 04, 2015, 09:17:53 PM
Hi everyone. I am going to see the Uro this Friday. I haven't seen him since the completion of my VIs in mid 2009. At that time in 2009 he said there wasn't anything else he could do for me after trying the VIs. I am going to ask on Friday if Xiaflex treatments could be performed on me due to plaque location. I have a plaque on the under side next to my urethra. Also I want to ask all of you is there any other current treatments like medications, supplements or treatments not mentioned that I mite be able to inquire about?

I have three plaques two of them cause constant pain and curvature. I have had Peyronies Disease since July of 2007. I can get and maintain a erection. I also want to ask if Xiaflex can breakdown my plaques could it take the pressure off whatever nerves the plaques are up against causing the chronic pain.

Any insight is most appricated.

Woodman,

Xiaflex does exactly that. It breaks down the collagen. My plaque has been reduced significantly on the top and my URO is going to work on the side plaque which also is partially on top. I have seen a reduction of 15-20 degrees, I'm guessing.
