Title: lahey clinic
Post by: Ketric on September 22, 2014, 11:49:14 PM
well gentlemen, I had my visit to the lahey clinic with a specialist regarding Peyronies Disease. He recommended the usual...pentox, L Arg and another specific to gout. He also recommended the physiomed traction device. So, I found myself wanting after I received the device, directions and recommendations were limited...I'm not sure how long to wear a certain traction, not sure how long to go before adding extensions on the device etc. Any advice? Seems like they're happy to charge and ship the device but not specific on directions.  I also find that I worry about causing additional damage as my gland get cold after an hour hanging from the noose.

Don't wear it for more than 2 hours without taking a 15-20 minute break.

Add traction bars to get a 'comfortable stretch'. Don't get overly aggressive with it.

thanks for the feedback. Do those who experienced positive results from traction remember their gland going ice-cold during the 2 hour recommended session? It sometimes worries me that I may be adversely affecting the head by what feels like a reduction of circulation for 2 hours. Maybe I need to back the extension rods down so there's less pressure where the "noose" is. I also wonder if I should slant the device down (which feels most comfortable), go straight out or straight up...thoughts/experience?

Ketric

The reason I decided not to use traction is because the glad "going ice cold" after 15 minutes in my case.

Title: traction device questions

I think I figured the cold gland thing out...I was being too aggressive in the first week and a half. I wanted to resolve this asap so I went a little loco with adding tension rods...like I was Ron Jeremy or something! Today, I backed off the rods to just a bit more than my natural flaccid length and wore it for 2 hours and the end of my junk didn't feel like a freeze-pop anymore. I realized I was trying to get too much of a stretch too soon, so I was over-tightening the noose to keep everything in place.

I'm going to keep it at the same length for a few weeks if not more, see if there's any difference, and then maybe extend it a bit more...this won't work overnight (as much as I want it too) I've gotta be patient.

I can't use my traction device for more.thennan hour, but it does seem to be working. I started doing 3 hours a day for 1 week. Then 6 hours per day weekly. Am intending to go into 9.
