Title: Can Peyronies Disease cause penis shrinkage?
Post by: MrRed on April 12, 2014, 06:43:32 PM
Hey guys this is my first post. I found this website after researching Peyronies disease online. I've had Peyronies Disease for several years now, but I never sought treatment for it though because it has caused me no pain at all. My main concern with Peyronies disease is penis shrinkage. If left untreated will Peyronies disease cause me to lose an inch or more from my penis length? I guess my question here is has anyone experienced any sort of penis shrinkage due to Peyronies disease? Thank you for your replies.

The majority of man with Peyronies have penis shrinkage.
Lost length and girth are Peyronies symptoms.

:-[ Is there anyway to stop the shrinkage from happening, and why does it happen? Is my penis ever going to stop shrinking? I'm worried now that my penis is going to keep shrinking until it reaches micro penis status. I don't think my penis has shrunk yet, or if it has I haven't noticed. Sorry for bombarding you guys with questions but I don't know where else to go with these questions.

MrRed

Your penis may stop shrinking or may continue without treatment, who knows?
You stated that you have Peyronies for several years now with no treatment. How many years?
I am proposing you to start treatment as soon as you can to stop the shrinkage and even get back some length and girth.
VED, Pentox, low dose Cialis and CoQ10 (You have not stated your age in your profile, but if older than 40, Ubiquinol will be better than CoQ10).
I am proposing you to read also:

It will help you to understand better this disease and how to fight it.

Thanks James for all your help. I have had Peyronies disease for at least 6 years now. I guess I better go see a urologist as soon as possible.

You are right that you have to see an urologist, will be much better to see a Peyronies specialist.
Many of us were very disappointed with regular urologist that giving you Vitamin E an telling you to "Wait and see".

James I'd hate to ask you another question, but you seem to be the only person responding. You mentioned I should try to use a VED. Do you have any recommendations for specific VEDs I should use? Also do you really think that I could gain back some length ans girth (if I lost any) even if I have left this untreated for over 6 years? Thank you again for your time.

MrRed

I had not done nothing for three years, I lost 6.5 cm length and half of the girth. (from 18 to 11.5 cm)
Using VED I got back 1.5 cm an some girth.
The VED was in combination with Pentox 3*400 mg and low dose Cialis.

I'm new and have had Peyronies disease for about 6 years. For a long time I didn't understand what it was. I went through the curvation period for a year or so with really not much noticeable pain. Which I thought looked strange and I was worried but didn't go see any professionals about it. At this point in my life (I'm 54) I have lost maybe an 1.5 inches in length and quite a bit of girth. I hesitate to see someone as I don't believe there is much that can be done to increase the size of the penis (for any reason) I mean if there was I think all men would have big huge penises...right. I hope it doesn't shrink more - that is my real worry. I'm not in a sexual relationship now but I have gone from having a nice size penis 7.5 to a smaller thinner 6.0 inches. It is very depressing as you all know how everybody loves a big one and laughs at the smaller ones. Just wanted to share - any questions or comments are welcome. Thanks Ray

Does peyronie's ALWAYS have girth loss?

In other words are there ever cases where it is very minimal or none and just some slight length loss on the affected side?

I lost girth at the hourglass but gained a small amount beneath it.

Most studies on peyronie's (that I can remember) only measure angle of deviation and if we're lucky stretched flaccid length. So we don't have much to go on except anecdotal reports with regards to this.

I went from 6.5" to just under 5" in length, and lost about 50% girth of the upper half of my shaft. However since using a VED I managed to regain about 0.25" length and get back to about 75% of my original girth. It's not a lot, but I'm certainly appreciative of what I gained back, and it is largely thanks to this forum and Old_man in particular that I achieved this.

I lost length and girth after Peyronie's, but then gained it back and more, the longest I measured was after Peyronie's after having done traction for several years. It seemed like I gained half an inch, but in all honestly it's best to avoid measuring and simply attack your symptoms from all angles. We know length can be increased via traction, and we know what helps and what doesn't help as far as diet, drugs, and supplements go.

Length fluctuates by the day, depending on many factors while ring heavily influenced by your arousal to images such as porn. The best erections I've had were when I abstained from masturbation for over a week and avoided porn for at least one month.

Please read the forum rules!!!

NeoV,

What type of traction device did you use?  On average, how much did you wear it?  I've lost 1.5" due to Peyronie's and would love to get some of it back.

There's a general view that traction devices with nooses / straps aren't the way to go. People complain they slip out of them or the noose has to be so tight to hold you securely that it cuts off bloody supply.

The traction devices that hold the glans with a suction cup (vacuum) seem to be the most comfortable and practical to wear by all accounts.

I initially bought an Andropeyronie (before discovering this Forum) which was a strap / noose system and I had all the problems people talk about here. Unfortunately, I therefore had to buy another. I got the Penimaster Pro which is a vacuum/suction based system to hold you in place. The difference was amazing. I can do a 3 hour stretch in the Penimaster easily

Hi!

4 years since onset. Lost about 2-3 cm in length and roughly 40 % girth. Bottleneck kind :)

Rayfreez any woman who laughs at any man's penis for whatever reason is an insensitive B that isn't someone worthwhile to engage.  You can tell a lot about a person by watching their behavior and listening carefully.  One way to assess depth of character and acceptance of differences is to discuss the topic of people with disabilities be such genetic but especially life after serious injury be such scars, physical differences and/or capabilities. Especially a few productive, private conversations while in public as you both come across someone with a noticeable yet not wheelchair level disability would be best.  Many people have never been faced with a serious conversation let alone decision-making relationship situation concerning such.  Please don't assume most people don't have physical issues they deal with and hide everyday...Back pain, whatever form of pain, heck colostomy bag even at a young age.  Moreover...A person can be perfectly healthy one day and the next injured, permanently injured or condition or disabled.  Everyone is worthy of being liked and loved.  Also remember many people hide their issues very well so don't assume they don't have any or won't understand.  Adjust your mindset to being worthy of anyone is good mental health.  Accepting yourself and being positive is the best way for others to accept you;)

Other than perhaps ved is there anything that can be done to increase the girth?  Assuming it will never go back to normal...

Sensitive topic...How to you guys feel about your gal asking you to try a girth enhancing sheath for intercourse that does or probably doesn't cover the penis head?  Of course not ask for it everytime but as a different sensation of more fullness for the gal sometimes?  I imagine that requires a gent to be secure in himself and his partner?  It isnt that as-is isn't enough but variety can be nice.  I have seen some links on he forum to such and was interested in them prior to Peyronies Disease partner experience.  I love my partner and have good communication but am certainly don't want him to misperceive such a request.

HFB, it depends how he interpretates is. I for one would feel  like even a F^@$!ng dildo/penis sleeve or whatever can fill up a woman better than I do. I already know this is a fact so choose to be alone. To me the reality that my girlfriend would prefer something thicker/bigger is unbearable, but I couldn't blame her. I don't know how your man sees himself and how he feels in your relationsship. If thinks sex is a big priority and worries a lot about his ability to have good sex I'm sure a big toy/sleeve would "trigger" his feelings of frustration. But maybe he takes pride in being a good "lover" and a caring and sweet man and all that. In that case he might have already accepted the fact he doesn't fill you up and doesn't mind and will do whatever to keep you happy and not feel inferior because of it. I feel like someone has to be extremely confident or naive to feel this way, but maybe that's why he still has a relationsship and I do not. Anyway, the sleeve will have him knowing you like to get filled more. Now his mindset will determine if that will be an ego crusher or not. If he really really really accepts this he might dig it, otherwise I'd be very very carefull. I for one would feel triggered, then again, I haven't made any progress in accepting this for like 5 years now.

I love him more than I have ever loved anyone.  We have great sex we really do!!!  Just SOMETIMES it would be nice to feel fuller.  I think I read somewhere here on the forum that such a sleeve can also provide more stability for the penis.  I would have no issue with my partner even putting a girth sleeve on mid intercourse on occasions where he can't keep his erection as hard, if he merely senses I would go wild for something different  or he wanted to surprise me on ocassion.  Who knows if I will even like the sleeve?  Heck I like toys, fingers and being fisted too...These produce sensations no penis in the world can provide.  I don't like all toys so it would be just another experiment and ocassion addition to our bedroom activities.   I wish all men would embrace that fact and that toys of any size, shape or function have nothing to do with HIS penis or bedroom skills.

I never ever want my partner to feel less than.  I love him.  He has made love to me like no other in  a my lifetime and that is the most beautiful gift.  None of us is a robot or perfect...such isn't humanly possible.  I need him to accept me and all my uniqueness.  I would be devastated if my partner misperceived my desires for variety as inadequacy.  If it got reinjured or functional changes there are many ways to please me.  I love him that much and I can only hope he would love me and himself enough to embrace the joy of such a wonderful relationship for life.

My curvature has straightened, and I no longer can feel the lump in my shaft.  Hourglass is gone.  This is about six years since onset of the disease.  However, my erections are not as rigid and I have a soft glans on erection, and have not regained my loss of about an inch in length.  But, it is better, just not what I used to be before Peyronies Disease.
