Title: Resveratrol
Post by: George999 on November 01, 2013, 11:27:35 AM
I know that newguy has brought up the subject of reveratrol a few times, but there is some interesting research these days appearing regarding the benefits of resveratrol.  Life extension has documented some pretty interesting qualities regarding resveratrol including the ability to retag genes in a similar fashion as vitamin D.  And A4M reports indicate that some studies showing resveratrol benefits use at least 1 full gram per day dosing.  Very few people use anywhere near that much resveratrol because of its cost.  But now Costco is offering 30g of softgels for $22.  That makes it $22 per month which is doable.  So now I have added it to my list along with CoQ10, Vitamin D, Omega-3s, etc.  I think it is becoming worth considering.  - George

Absolutely George,

It is in Grape Seed extract along with Vitamin E and procyanidins. Research on both resveratrol and procyanidins look very promising.
I'm unaware how much resveratrol is in GSE but looks good so far. I'll see if I can get an answer.

I've always been interested in resveratrol, seems to be very powerful.

I modified a statement I made in my previous comment about 1g dosing because a review of the A4M documents indicated my initial comment was inaccurate.
