Title: Hour glassing.
Post by: Kobegianna on May 09, 2021, 11:01:39 PM
Everyone on  here with hour glassing, do you guys have plaques/calcification in the septal areas between the cavernous? Or just plaques on the surface? Like ventral or dorsal? I only have plaque/ nodules in the septal area causing the waisting/ hour glassing. I'm not sure traction or ved can "pop" the hour glassing because my fm damaged tissue is on the "inside". But it seems like a lot of people were able to get the hour glassing somewhat fixed with traction. I'm wondering if they actually had any plaque in the septal area

Traction yeah , RestoreX study showed hourglassing and indentation only improved by a large amount after 9 months of traction, less duration only improved it a little. So give it a solid 1 year with traction. Instead of gradual improvement I think for most suddenly one day improvement happens. .... I don't know if Xiaflex can be administered in septum though. In any case the dents and indentation can be filled in through extra tunical grafting with high satisfaction rates if it comes to surgery. This reinforces tunica without disrupting it to avoid ED.

My hour glassing is caused by hard plaque (about 1 in x 0.5 in) at the base of the penis and dorsal (top), to my knowledge no plaque in septal area. So the plaque was easy to find and inject with Xiaflex. The Xiaflex helped enough to allow careful sex now, plaque is about half the original size. I never did traction or VED and minimal modeling, but I masturbated for 20+ minutes every day as my "modeling". Just me...

So, sorry, I can't help you with your question. As gauss said, the septal area seems like a much harder area to inject Xiaflex.

Wjat has your doctor recommended?

Seeing another specialist in a month. This disease is just debilitating mentally. The area where my plaque is just seems like it's In the worst place possible. Having plaques in the setptum seems very untreatable. Just been doing manual traction and Ved. Not sure how much it's helping thouhj
