Title: Finally bitten the bullet
Post by: Big L on April 26, 2021, 03:44:12 PM
After nearly a year scanning the posts here for answers for this awful condition I've gone and bitten the bullet and joined up. I've just started today my 26 week VED therapy session and keeping everything crossed for positive results for the coming months.

My name is Nick and my Peyronies started well over 2 and half years ago and boy what a crappy journey. I've read so many of other peoples posts and experiences and feel very lucky when I see how so many people are struggling and at a very young age for some. I kind of gave up and thought well that was it and my sex life is over but finding this forum has given me hope and the feeling I'm at last not alone having to struggle with the anxieties and depression this condition can bring over you as it develops continuously over time.
I no longer have pain at last but I have been left with 50+ degree upward bend, hour glassing to the centre of my shaft and about 1 inch loss in length and considerable loss in girth. The worse thing for me though is the hinging effect I get on the hour glassing area as now I can't get to do some of my favourite sexual positions. (sorry to get technical, but this forum is all about honesty innit?) I do suffer with erectile dysfunction too but find Viagra sorts that right out....I think most of it is phycological but some physical as I'm getting to that "fantastic" (sarcasm) age where my testosterone levels are dropping off etc.

I have been taking supplements from near the start as per my signature and the Urologist was completely useless so found myself here and thank everyone here for that, you are all an inspiration.

I've just started today VED therapy and after my 1st session feeling very positive as it went well and can honestly see, even after 1 session this could be the golden chalice. I just think that you got to try these things and would give my left nut to get my old "little boy" back so putting my knob into a plastic tube once a day for 20 mins is a small price to pay for that.
Anyway that's me so keep your chins up keep positive and let's reverse the curve together guys.
Nick

Welcome to the forum Big L,

Just curious as to what kept you from registering?

It sounds like you are working on a reasonable non-invasive plan which makes sense at this point.  It seems you have read the Survival Guide.  I want to remind you to take and record a series of objective measurements.

By the way, thanks for completing your signature line.

Hi Hawk
I have been sitting in the sidelines for a while as I really didn't feel I had anything to contribute but as time has gone by and my 1st step into VED territory has started, plus I've not seen a lot of people here with Dupuytrens on here and thought maybe I could offer some unique insight in my journey/ changes as it happens. I will post in the right boards when and if this happens and hopefully with positive developments. Thanks for all you guys have done with making this a trusted safe place for people to be open and honest, its definately given me a lift in darker times
Nick

It is good to know we have made the journey a little less lonesome and helped you along the way. It strengthens us just to know we are together in this journey.  I hope you feel that bond of support along with the access to some sound information.

I wish the thousands of other guests we see tracking this forum would join, even if they don't post.  Adding their numbers to our membership helps to strengthen us even if that is all they do.

Welcome Big L!  It is great to have you here! This is a great bunch of guys all dealing with this monster.  It sounds like you have a good grasp on your situation.  There is a wealth of information here as you have seen.  Don't let your emotions take you down a dark road with this. I am very interested to hear about your
dupuytrens journey.   :)  Mike
