Title: Hello All, 39 y/o from UK
Post by: JustDandy on March 21, 2021, 07:39:37 AM
Background
From the Channel Islands, UK. 39 yrs of age, had some Erectile Dysfunction issues 4 years ago after split from very long relationship, mostly mental I think. Cialis 2.5mg every 3 days helped me gain back confidence.

Moving on I had an injury with my now Fiancée 2.5 years ago she was on top and being a little overzealous and before I could stop her she smashed her pelvic bone into my member hard.
It hurt like crazy but I maintained an erection stupidly continued having sex.

I didn't think too much of it , however i did get the odd pain and aches at night with an erection and sometimes when flacid, on and off. I put it down to the occasional Cialis.

Anyway after  26 months things seemed okay but then 3 months ago i noticed a small dent in my erection on the left side of the shaft just after sex.

Just add i stopped smoking 3 years ago i got addicted to nicotine  lozenges (still on them trying to cut down now) but i do wonder if this has further compounded my Peyronies

Diagnosis

I went to the doctor who dismissed me at first but I demanded he book me in with urologist but took 3 months to see !

In the 3 months that small dent had turned into 1/2 inch ring all the way round my penis, definitely hourglass I've probably lost almost and inch on my erection

Urologist did a physical examined and noted plague at point of issue. He prescribed 5mg cialis daily and told me to come back in 3 months!  Only one urologist here!
Pretty useless to be honest , i spoke to him about shock wave which he dismissed. No pentox , no Xiapex or anything else mentioned on this forum

I've read the first step guide and ordered everything mentioned. Not sure whether to get a VED device have been considering the SOMACorrect . Does anyone have experience with this?
I also tried to order the phoenix for shock wave treatment but doesnt ship to the UK yet.

Mental State
This has hit my mental well being extremely hard, after the past year I have had i'm sure some people have had it worse but it the last thing any man wants. My Fiancée has be quite supportive (it is partially her fault :) ) I just struggle to identify with my penis as it  doesn't look like my penis :( . And I'm  so surprised how quickly this escalated in 3 months.

Goals
Like everyone on here , stop the peyronies continuing and hopefully reversal of some of this plaque build up.

Thankyou for the forum!

Welcome to the forum Dandy,

Follow the guide and maybe add heat after you know not to use too high of a temperature.  There is lots of info on the forum about heat from various sources from infra-red, hot water, hand warmers, etc.

Most of all take care of the psychological/e, optional aspects.  That IS seriously half of the battle and the half you have the most control over.

For the long term, it would be nice if you could see a more informed doctor but you have to work with what you have.

Best wishes,
Hawk

PS: Thanks for filling in your signature line.  It helps a lot.

Hi Hawk,

Thankyou for the welcome and more importantly thankyou for the forum! A wealth of knowledge and insight here!

Will look into heat therapy now!

Going to try get to London to see a better specialist once some the covid restrictions have been eased.

Many Thanks
JD

Just Dandy... my situation seems very similar to yours in the fact it was left sort of undiagnosed for a lengthy time afterwards with the classic half ring shape around the shaft. Interested to know how are things now? Any better? Any improvement with the pain?
