Title: Taking trazadone for the first time
Post by: MambaMentality on March 15, 2021, 07:41:29 PM
About to take trazodone (half of a 50 mg) tonight. Apparently, it helps with NTE's. However, I am trying to avoid priapism for obvious reasons. I do have ED and a lack of NTE's already, so idk if a priapism is a real risk in my case. Anyone have some advice?

I don't think you are at a risk , but you should have some Sudafed on hand in case you
develop an erection that wont subside in less than 4 hours. Don't use the extended release.

I'm always worried about getting a more than 4 hours lasting erection while I'm slept.
If it was priapism, would it be so painful that the pain would wake you up?

I assure you if you had a priapism in  your sleep it would wake you up. I use to always obsess and worry about this also. A real priapism will actually hurt and give you pain.
