After a DDU (which was done at 40% erect) uro determined I had a dysfunctional right cavernosa artery, which is being supplied by my left cavernosa artery. At this time I am having success with 50 mg viagra. I guess my question is, does this seem right? I would think with a mechanical issue such as this viagra would not help?? Does anyone else have similar issues?
He also is referring me to another uro to see about "revascularization" surgery. In looking into it, it appears an implant is preferred by most. I guess my main question would be is there a chance my Uro was wrong in his diagnosis of a defective right artery as I feel no amount of viagra would help me?

I am not a doctor, but here are my thoughts as an informed layman.
The two cavernosa chambers are connected. An injection into one chamber causes an equal erection on both sides, and both sides expand simultaneously. I have to believe that in practicality, no artery can supply just one side of the penis. It might terminate there, but blood filling one side will spill into the other side. A PDE5 inhibitor like viagra relaxes your arteries supplying blood. Blood will flow more freely to all the arteries in your penis and all arteries in your body, which is why such oral medications cause a stuffed-up nose. Viagra will make the erection process work better and cause more blood to flow regardless of your arterial layout.
There are some scams in the world and some dangerous surgeries advertised as vascular surgeries to correct Erectile Dysfunction. We have people on this forum and elsewhere that have had horrible results, and I cannot recall anyone who had excellent results. I would tell you to search for Vascular surgery under the forums advanced search feature to see what you find.
Thanks again hawk! Would your advice to me to use pills as long as they are effective and go to implant when they don't? I feel like Id honestly prefer implant to pills but fear at 30 years old the implant will fail and thus require several revisions over my lifetime.
If you get effective results from oral meds with no significant side-effects, why not. The only downside between that and an implant is an ongoing cost and a little planning for sex. I would consider Cialis Daily if you want to eliminate planning sex. Some cannot take Cialis, however. It gave me backaches. Implants also have cons. They have a limited life-expectancy which requires revision surgery. If the oral med becomes ineffective or you develop significant side-effects or your curve increases, then you can consider an implant.
BTW, I did not mean to imply in my last post that all vascular surgery on the penis by every surgeon is to be shunned. It is probably worth looking into and getting a few medical opinions. There might be some renowned vascular specialists who can correct some specific issues.
