Title: Multimodal Treatment
Post by: Nolte94 on February 07, 2021, 03:28:16 PM
At the beginning
35° curvature to the left, because of a plaque right under the glans. Worsen after 3 months with no real treatment to 45°, hinge effect and pain (while flaccid and errected).

First try on treatment
First urologist recommended Potaba, which I took for 30 days. I also took many supplements (Serrapeptase, Nattokinase, Acetyl-Carnitine, L-Arginine, Coq10, Omega 3 Caps and Curcumine). The progression maybe slowed down and the symptoms are stable.

Basic treatment with success
I joined this forum and read studies on PTT and oral treatments. Many supplements are just waste of money and could lead to other issues. So I decided to speak with another urologist and start a "basic treatment" like it's written in the "survival guide":

PTT with PMP up to 8 hours (average maybe 4-6 hours)
after traction simmondsia chinensis seed oil with macadamia ternifolia seed oil (just for skin care)
Tadalafil 5mg
Acetyl-L-Carnitine
L-Citrullin
Coq10
Patience

I've always been sporty and eaten healthy, so I don't have to focus on this two. I don't smoke and drink alcohol.

Improvements
The worst symptome for me was the pain. Hopefully I just feel a tension, because of the curvature, but no real pain anymore.
The curvature itself improved to ~35°.
Errection quality improved. Nightly errections are back and sex is possible without huge risks of injuring again.
The beginning of a depression could be stopped and I don't think always about this disease. My girlfriend is a great support.

Targets left
Get rid of the hinge effect
Curvature ~10-20° (100% straight is not my target)
Keep smiling :)

I don't want to experiment with questionable supplements or drugs anymore. This multimodal treatment seems to help me and I don't have any sideeffects. My urologist supports me, too, so I shouldn't get other health issues, because of experiments without medical knowledge like a few desperate members do.

Great progress!!

"after traction simmondsia chinensis seed oil with macadamia ternifolia seed oil (just for skin care)"
what exactly is that? you apply on the glans?

Nolte , the approach you are taking is very similar to mine. I consider my urologist to be very knowledgeable  considering he is from Mayo Clinic here in the states and he told me to focus on traction and daily tadalafil 5mg for 6 months. He has told me to try restore x for a few months before considering Xiaflex. If the hinge buckling continues, I will consider Extra Tunical grafting. I do not have a girlfriend, consider yourself very lucky to have a partner when this struck you. It certainly helps mentally talking to someone about this. At this age, not even our friends would understand, they would think it's something funny, and I can't even talk to them about it. I hope you and I are happy at the end. One step at a time.

@Postrocker
This is a product from the company behind PMP. Just for skin care. I wear the device many hours and use the oil to keep my skin of the penis smooth and healthy. I think, you can buy other and cheaper products for skin care...

@gaussrifle
Same as I do. Focus on the basic treatments, which studies confirmed to help. Xiaflex isn't authorized in Germany and in my opinion questionable like Potaba. Surgery is the last option, but I don't thinking about it much at the moment. Step by step :)

Wonder if it's time to jump in on the under 30 club action regarding traction (although only 29 for a few more months!) Have been stable since onset almost 8 years ago - feels like a long time now 😲

After losing almost 2 inches in length, some girth and suffering all the other effects - Hinging, some indentations, 35 degree bend upwards slightly to left and hard flaccid due to multiple plaques and a hard thinkened cord that runs along the shaft and can be felt by pressing in both thumbs from either side and running them along the length of the penis.. Feel like maybe I should buy a RestoreX and give something a crack as I have just come out of a relationship and have hardly been single since onset!

Does anyone think Traction without Xiaflex to soften the plaques and cord would be worth it to try and get some sort of straightening and length improvements nearly 10 years into the onset or wishful thinking??

I feel for you guys as I remember things being pretty good down there prior to taking a huge hit in a sporting game - luck of the draw unfortunately. But definitely sucks to cop this crap in your 20's.

Well done on both your efforts 👏

@Nolte94, just found the product on PMP website. do you apply it directly on your glans (everywhere?) after finishing using PMP? it's quite expensive indeed.
if anyone has any other suggestions, I would also be interested.

@treeza1
I have multiple plaques, too. But only the one right under my glans causes the curvature, a little dent and the hinge effect.
Just read the studies about traction and multimodal treatments (everything is posted multiple times in this forum) and you will see, that's never too late for starting treatment.

@postrocker
I apply it everywhere. Why not? My whole penis is covered with skin. But I think, you focus too much on this oil, which ONLY is for skin care. There are so many cremes, lotions and oils for skin care, so it doesn't matter what you use.

Nolte, as you are very young I wonder why you take 5mg of tadalafil instead of 2,5mg. Did your uro recommended 5 for a certain reason?
What time do you take it?

Last time I used pmp I used castor oil and it worked very well. Both for get the glans in the chamber and for the skin care.

I will try castor oil to use after/during the use of PMP.

@Juan
My urologist prescribed Tadalafil 5mg to me. I take it in the evening, but the time doesn't matter. You only should take every day at the same time.

Update
The PeniMaster Pro works very well. I've increased the hours of wearing the device in general per day and the curvature improves more and more. Size of my penis is bigger than before Peyronies Disease.
Soft glans because of the hinge effect gets better, but not perfect yet. Therefor I've added VED sessions, but I don't use exactly the 26 weeks protocol. In combination with the supplements and others in my signature I have to say: multimodal treatment works for me so far.

sorry let me rephrase:

are you noticing a big difference since you added contractubex to the treatment? am looking into some topical creams as well!

thanks!

Update
I'm feeling well. I continue with the treatment, because I'm very happy about the good shape of my penis. After many hours of tracrion and VED, my penis has become bigger than before Peyronies Disease and my erecrions are stronger than before Peyronies Disease.
I still have a little curvature, but that doesn't bring any problems or disadvantages with it.

Good luck to everyone out there!

That's really great, man.

Do you know how many hours of traction do you have? I am approaching 300h with no noticeable improvements in curvature  :(

Nolte94,

How often do you add to the rod length?  Or maybe you've stayed at the same rod length and only increased tension?

I add a new piece, if I need more length. The screws are only for little adjustment. I try to keep 3 visible rings (~690g).

Hey Nolte,

cheers from Berlin ;)

I am in for a multimodal treatment as well, but haven't started the VED yet, but got the device.
My doctor recommended me to alternate VED with Traction (daily). But he also recommended that
I only need to use traction for around 3-4 hours daily and need not to overdo it.. so I am a bit sceptical
about his advice because from the studies and everything I read in this forum I get: the more traction, (usually) the better!

So how did you do it with the VED? You added that to your daily traction? Did you use it daily as well?
And why did you go for tensiologes instead of taking Arginin, Citrulline and Carnitine seperately. Do you
think there are any benefits from taking those three seperately over taking tensiologes + Carnitine.
Would be nice to get your point of view on it :)

Great stuff with your progress too!

Nolte94, Thank you for your posts, very inspiring, good luck with further progress. Could you reveal which urologist you visited in Germany (I assume you visited one in your country :) )? Here or on priv if you preffer.  Unfortunately I have problems with finding urologist familiar with non-surgical treatment, so looking around for good one in EU. Thanks.
