Title: Pain in the Perineum
Post by: Godisreal on January 25, 2021, 02:09:05 AM
Lately, I've been experiencing a dull ache in both the lower back part of my penis, close to the testicles and the Perineum (area between your d*ck and your anus)
Is it possible for Peyronie's inflammation to reach the prostate? Or the testicles? Is it possible that I have inflammation in the whole body? I might be overreacting, but it's just so difficult to make sense to these different symptoms sometimes.
It really feels like my whole body is super warm, especially my pelvic area and penis.
Perhaps my urethra is inflamed or irritated? Or maybe pelvic floor issues? Or perhaps it's everything combined?
Any ideas or insights, my friends?
I'd really appreciate it.

I have pelvic issues as I injured my tailbone in 2020. I have the same symptoms and have found that regular exercise and stretching has given me improvement. I bought the book : Ending Male Pelvic Pain, A Man's Manual: - this has a lot of great info.

It is all interconnected.  I developed chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) formerly called Chronic Non Bacterial Prostatitis a few months after initial onset of Peyronies Disease.  I was and still have voiding issues that came on with the disease.  It definitely did something to the expandability of the urethra on voiding, but was not a stricture.  I did have a cystoscopy to rule out stricture, and may be in your best interest to do so.  This will throw out any other possible causes and allow you to focus on the issue at hand if it is worrying you.

Moral of the story is that the burning and crinkly discomfort that I got post voiding has greatly subsided.  It took time, with very slow and stepped progress.  I did get pelvic floor physiotherapy since late June 2020 until now and was a godsend.  It did not help immediately though, as it took a few months before I started noticing significant improvement.

Thank you for the great answers, guys. I'm sorry to hear you also have issues.
Bustedchubb, what did your pelvic floor physiotherapy consist of?
I've been trying to do kegel exercises in bed, etc. Just the very basics, I guess.
Do you think that can have a good impact on Peyronie's?

Yes, my peyronie's injury affected my pelvic floor (perineum, anus, urethra, bladder, prostate), it was unbearable at first, everything had altered. I improved a lot with pelvic floor kinesiology (look for a specialist professional). You can do massages and stretching in the perineal and anal area, gymnastics with the legs, muscle contractions, all that works. mild manual penile traction helped too.
The only thing that I could not improve is the sensitivity and the voiding frequency.

Therapy is mostly internal anal work where therapist inserts finger and hits trigger points by simply placing slight pressure on the various tight spastic areas.  The book "Headache of the Pelvis" describes the process very good and also shows how to improve with stretches, breathing etc.  The therapist also did target certain non-rectal muscles in the hip and gluts, but this was only done several sessions as they weren't the main offenders for me.

I do daily pelvic floor stretching exercises on top of the physiotherapy.  The stretches can be found here: https://www.pelvicpain.org.au/easy-stretches-to-relax-the-pelvis-men/?v=ef10366317f4 (https://www.pelvicpain.org.au/easy-stretches-to-relax-the-pelvis-men/?v=ef10366317f4)
