Title: Has anyone had any bad experiences with PRP?
Post by: Bill2020 on October 13, 2020, 10:57:55 PM
Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone has had any bad experiences with PRP?

I had two PRP treatments, where the doctor injected directly into the scar tissue and I think they may have made my condition worse (although I can't be certain).

I now have a small indentation on the spot where I believe he injected the majority of the PRP and I feel as though my bend has gotten slightly worse (immediately after the second treatment).

Maybe I think it's worse because I am getting stronger erections because of the PRP (and this is making the bend more pronounced)?  I don't know?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I know nothing about prp, but having stronger erections does make penis appear more bent. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

If you do a search in the forums - most people found that PRP did help with curvature and erections temporarily however, found that after a few months things went back to how they were... I'm not sure whether anyone had issues like you're describig, but try a forum search.

I noticed you're in Australia - how much did the treatment cost you?

Hi jj21,

Thanks for your response.

I cant remember exactly how much my prp treatments cost, but they were very affordable (for me) - hence why I didn't pay much attention to the cost.

From memory, they were definitely under $200 for each treatment.

If you have any further questions about the procedure, please feel free to ask me.

Cheers,

Bill

I got my PRP injection a week ago, my erections improved and my orgasms are more intense. Didn't do anything for my deformity yet

Any update?

Hi jj21,

No update regarding PPE.

I remain convinced that it did give me an indentation at the main injection site.

That indentation remains (it may have improved 20%, but that's being generous).

Regarding my condition as a whole, my curve has improved (mainly) via traction; although I have been trying VED for extended periods throughout the last year as well.

My curve went from about 25deg to about 14deg.

However, I should add that the improvements all occurred within the first 6 months.

No real improvement since then.

But I am currently continuing with traction and will probably give VED another try as well.

Otherwise, I am in the same boat as everyone else - waiting for some miracle cure or treatment which doesn't look like its coming any time soon.

I'm sorry to hear that. How is 14deg curvature going - are you able to have intercourse? A while back using the VED protocol here with the 3 cylinders I gianed back some girth and was able to continue sex properly without much pain (just some positions were difficult). Needed Viagra though.

Cialis daily helped a lot too.

Are you using Restorex?

I haven't had intercourse for almost 2 years now.  So, I wouldn't know if a 14degree curve would be a problem.
Based on what some of the other members have shared, I am hopeful that it won't be.

However, I am quite paranoid about it (and quite embarrassed).  So, I have avoided sexual contact since this became a problem.

I was really hopeful that I could get my curve to be less than 10deg (that was the original goal anyway).

Unfortunately, the improvements just stopped (even though I have religiously used Restorex every single day for a year and a half).

I have considered Xiaflex.  But, unfortunately (as you probably know), it is no longer available in Australia.

So, I've sort of hit a dead end for now and not sure what to do next.
