I'm alittle scared to get it done because I just don't want to know how much damage there actually might be. I'm scared to see a bunch of scar tissue and think it's alot worse then what it is. Although I will feel alot better if there is no scar tissue. My appointment is for next week and I recently started pentox so I guess I could get another ultasound in 6 months and compare them.
I have no pliable scar tissue but might have noticed some type of hard very thin stands of plaque that run vertical on my shaft. I guess the ultrasound will tell whether it's all in my head or not. Is ultrasound a good indicator of relating scar tissue to symptoms? Or can someone with no penis pain and no penis problems at all show the same amount of plaque as someone with horrible penis problems? Such as with herniated disks, some people have symptoms fromt hem and some don't...

I got my ultrasound results back and it was negative for scar tissue. I thought for sure there must be some kind of scarring and damage. Although I'm relieved, the problem still remains without any answers.
What's the chances the ultrasound didn't reveal the scar tissue? Since I'm still in the acute phase of Peyronies Disease, maybe the ultrasound didn't pick up the early stages of scarring? FYI, I'm 6 months in from when I first noticed my penis woes.
If you had an ultrasound, it would definitely show up the scar tissue and plaque. I had it done before my implant and I had an abundance of scarring. Doc said it wouldn't get better. The tissue of the corpara cavernosa becomes fibrous tissue and their won't be any blood getting there. Thus loss of girth.
The best to do is start a daily regimen of cialis and keep on pumping with VED.

ive seen three urologists and a peyronies surgeon and none of them will do an ultrasound on me whether i want to or not. they say 'whats th point' - i want to do it so i can have a comparison and just get an idea of what the heck is going on in my penis. has anyone else had this refusal?
In my opinion, if you will go to the uro as private patient or to a private hospital they will be happy to do that because they are chargin money for it 8)

when you have the ultrasound - does it involve an injection to make you erect? and is there a risk this injection can make the plaque / Peyronies Disease worse?
To see the plaques, the ultrasound is made with flaccid penis.
Injection to simulate an erection is necessary only to check venous leekages for ED.

I'm not for or against the injections. But just wanted to clear up that the ultrasound can show the scarring in both the flaccid and erect states.

I have had twelve (12) penile injections of Verapamil, direct into the plaque. I have had one injection of papaverine to evaluate the plaque after the first six VI. The papaverine injection was NOT into the plaque, but into the corpora cavernosa (spongy tissue). I think a single injection of any of the erection producing medications, into the corpora cavernosa, is highly unlikely to make the plaque worse.
If it did, then most men who use these ED meds would also be on this site.
Trimix is an injectable three-drug cocktail used to treat erectile dysfunction. The active ingredients in the mixture are usually alprostadil, papaverine, and phentolamine.

You are right regarding Trimix, Bimix and other injections used for erection. I read posts of people that using injections for more than 20 years two three time a week and are still happy with them.
I also agree with you that in most cases one injection by a urologist to make a test in erect state will not cause damage.
As with injury that is causing or not Peyronies and plaques, I read also many complains on other boards that people developed plaques.
It depends on your body disposition, genetics and other factors.

One could argue a many things don't cause Peyronies Disease but in a person predisposed to get Peyronies Disease, these are triggers. I would prefer to produce a VED erection or a natural erection at home and photograph the progress.
If for some reason I had no option, I would take a chance on a single injection.
