Title: Verapamil and DMSO delivery
Post by: Godisreal on November 11, 2019, 02:39:28 PM
Does anybody have experience combining these two? And does anybody know if there are risks with trying transdermal techniques on my dick? I would really like to try it out, possibly with some oils hoppin in to the mix as well.
Anyway, please share with a fellow member if you have any experience or thoughts regarding Verapamil and DMSO put together...
God bless you

I don't, but just as an aside, curious to see what people say here. I am going to have some made at a compounding pharmacy and include Pentox and vit. E along with verapamil. They were familiar with peyronie's and they had done DMSO with verapamil before. PM me if you want the name of the pharmacy.

can you just make the decision yourself to have something made at a compounding pharmacy with stuff like pentox in it? like, would i be able to just talk to a compounding pharmacy and tell them what i want and have it made?

A doc can prescribe it and then a compounding pharmacy  mixes it for you.  You'd need to know if pentox would be therapeutic as a local agent rather than systemic effect as oral.

No. You would need a prescription.

Doctor said it would have minimal systemic absorption with liposomal base but would hit system more if DMSO used.

Hi Godisreal,
Couple of thoughts related to this from my earlier research when my Peyronie's was just getting started.  First about the DMSO - this substance has only been tested and found to have tangible benefits on a few specific issues and it comes with  some warnings.  Also, DMSO can be obtained but its purity may vary from 10% to 90% depending on the manufacturer!?!?  It apparently does help make some medicines "get into the skin better" with its transdermal properties...however it will also take anything else that is present along with it so keeping your hands/penis/underwear (everything!) very clean is important.  You can get DMSO at health food stores, but I don't know what level of purity or quality it will be...is it medical grade???  It has risk warnings for some things like diabetes, kidney and liver problems too.  It appears to be more adept at directly skin related issues and since a Peyronie's plaque is much deeper it may not actually carry the Verapamil into the plaque itself.  My urologist did try Verapamil with me and the best technique is an injection directly into the plaque itself.  The side effects from Verapamil are very mild compared to Xiaflex, and Verapamil was quite inexpensive - only $20 per treatment!  I picked up a vial of the liquid at the pharmacy, took it to the Dr, they administer it - simple!  I would recommend only working with treatment options directly with your fully qualified urologist who has experience with Peyronie's.  A compounding pharmacy may be willing to mix up a batch of whatever you want...but that may not be a good idea unless it has the approval and advice of your urologist behind it.

Don't keep DMSO in a plastic bottle as it can absorb the toxic compounds and deliver to your penis.  Always dilute per instructions.

Hi buzzin2,
Personally?  Don't bother.  While I was going through all the hoo-ya when the Peyronie's first occurred, transdermal therapy was one of the things I looked at quite closely.  From all my research and bouncing my thoughts off of valid, reputable medical information there is not any sense to me that any form of transdermal therapy is actually effective.  Now, here is the confusing part: you can find many "anecdotal" reports on line about various treatments using transdermal applications...but none of them have passed the wicket to be regarded in major medical research venues.  My impression is that some patients may do several things simultaneously, not knowing what actually worked, and attribute certain results to a particular thing.  The vast information database available on-line from reputable urologists and nationally accepted medical schools/universities do not seem to gravitate to any transdermal treatments.  Peyronie's appears to be a tricky thing since the actual plaque can be located in many different places, can be formed from either congenital genes or specific trauma events, and the plaque can be very robust and hard (calcified) or soft and hard to feel (non-palpable).  All that said, find a reputable urologist who either has experience with treatment of Peyronie's or is in a Urology Group with others who do...get their advice for your particular/specific condition.  You may have certain aspects that lend towards medically sound and accepted treatments.  Guessing with homeopathic or other treatments is just that...a guess.

Best of luck to you bro...this condition is terrible...but can be remedied one way or another.

Cheers,
-P47D

I have a script for Verapamil Gel from Peyronies Disease labs and I just started using it with DMSO  I am using DMSO roll-on with Aloe from Amazon,  Says it is 99.9 pure.   Question, should I just roll the DMSO on and then put the gel on, or the reverse?  What is the correct use of this combo?   I have not had any discomfort or reaction and have been doing it for about a week with the DMSO first and then the Gel.  I have been using the V-Gel for 2 months by itself.

Hi there- just wondering if you have seen any results with the Verapamil Gel and DMSO?  I have been using restorX but have not had the results you have had.  I am not going to stop but want to add something to it.  My issue is severe paid (3 years now)- I wonder if Verapamil Gel and DMSO might 'soften' the scar tissue, reduce the pain which can help the effectiveness of traction.
