TL;DR - I have a bend in my semi-erect penis SOME mornings after waking up. Has anyone else experienced this and is it likely Peyronie's? No lumps or plaque felt either.
- No lumps/plaque that either me nor urologist can feel
- Straight erect penis (I have photos of my erect penis from last year and it looks pretty much exactly the same now)
- No pain (perhaps some mild and intermittent tingling sensation... though this might be psychological after becoming worried about Peyronie's)
- I did recently get swollen veins (not lymphs since they're blue) that are mildly achey/painful and run along the left side of my penis after I masturbate. They would remain there for around an hour even while flaccid. There was no pronounced pain before I developed this.
Development: I'm 23 years old and around 3 weeks ago I woke up and noticed that my penis was curving left while it was deflating from morning wood. At 50% erect, it was around a 10-20 degree curve. This was a new development as I had never noticed this before and I don't have any congenital curvature apart from a slight lean to the right when my penis is semi-erect. I'm quite certain this is new since I look at my penis every morning in the bathroom. Throughout the day I made my penis erect again to see if it still curves but it doesn't. It also remained perfectly straight when erect after the morning. When semi-erect it would do a slight and gradual lean to the right though, as mentioned earlier, this isn't new.
This curve didn't happen on Day 2 but it again did on Day 3. I went to see a urologist on Day 3 who has had experience with Peyronie's and he said he's quite sure it's not Peyronie's nor the beginning of Peyronie's either due to three factors: 1.) perfectly straight penis when fully erect and 2.) he didn't feel any lumps or plaque either 3.) I don't recall any recent traumatic experience to my penis. The doctor said the semi-erect curve could be due to blood pumping into one of the corpus cavernosa faster than the other.
Since then, I didn't give too much thought about it. However, today I woke up and noticed that my deflating penis once again has a very noticeable curve to it (around 20 degrees to the left at around 60-70% erect). The bend starts roughly mid-shaft hough I don't notice hourglassing. After it became flaccid I made it erect again throughout the day to see if it still has the curve and it doesn't anymore.
I wonder if anyone here has experienced something similar to this, where your penis curves but only sometimes? I'm very worried about this right now and would go and seek additional care if it's likely Peyronie's.
I have a curve and my curve becomes especially pronounced when deflating, including some hourglassing while deflating. You may have what member NeoV calls "pre-Peyronie's" don't be too worried, be mindful of your penile health and u should be fine. Go on YouTube and search NeoV Peyronie's and watch his video called "Peyronie's disease a myth?" And his other vids. He talks about exactly what you're going thru
Thanks for the quick reply @diehardpatriot. Watched the video and it was both encouraging and discouraging; discouraging being that I probably do have Peyronie's. But I'm still wondering if anyone else has experienced curving only during the morning or certain times of the day during their early stages (it happened this morning too)? I'm planning to schedule a visit to another urologist with experience with Peyronie's soon.
Hi, I think most of us only curve when fully erect, well only get the full blown effect when fully erect, starts to curve as soon as you start to get a erection.
The symptoms appear unusual for peyronies, I'd seek out a consult w a peyronies specialist asap in case it is and then to stop any further progression.
I think it sounds like classic early Peyronie's. Many of us mostly notice the curve when partially erect most, and mine was also something that began in mornings!
When you said mornings did you mean the first time you noticed your curve, it was during the morning? Or did you mean that early on it only happened in the morning? Mine doesn't seem to happen every morning (it happened the past two mornings but not this morning). Did yours also behave similar to this in the initial stages? Also, thanks for all the videos, it's clear you really care about people who are experiencing these types of situations.
This weekend, I'll be seeing another doctor who's had experience with Peyronie's for a second opinion and I'll update again.
Just went to the second doctor. He also said that it's unlikely Peyronie's. His main reasoning are:
1. Main reason: the curves aren't consistent. If there was plaque, the penis should be consistently curving in that direction every time I have an erection, not just during some mornings when it's semi-erect.
2. No plaque he can detect when he palpated.
3. No pain
Any thoughts on this? And if it's not Peyronie's, are there any alternative explanations?
Your urologist is wrong. As I have said, so many of us were in your exact situation and came back years later with permanent scarring. He says you don't have it because he cannot treat it, this is modern medicine at its finest, NOT preventative medicine. Educate yourself on this before trusting anyone with your own health. Penile inflammation or mild deformity that goes away is early Peyronie's, just like we know that diabetics begin to have multisystem damage before blood sugars even rise. They only have "diabetes" when it's so out of control that insulin injections can be recommended. Sadly it was years before that they should have addressed hyperinsulinemia, which is now considered the root cause of nearly ever modern disease.

Yes, I'm skeptical about both doctors' answers since I've been reading a lot about Peyronies Disease and other people's accounts of how it progressed in their case. I understand that no two cases are exactly alike. However, I still couldn't find one where the deformities are inconsistent (e.g. curving after waking up some mornings, straight 15 minutes later).
You mentioned that your early stages also began in the mornings. Did it occur every morning? Or did it occur one morning, then disappeared for a few days/week before re-appearing again?
Neo is most likely right. If you are just noticing your penis to bend like that. It's prjbalt early Peyronie's. Weirdly, member JohnW said he had a curve that actually got worse as he grew older, never had palpable plaque, and had some hourglassing whensemi erect, but when he got surgery, it reveled there was NO scar tissue on his penis.
but wait how could that be? isnt peyronies caused by scar tissue? How could he have been told he had no scar tissue in his penis when he got the surgery?
Yes. What JohnWs case was, was that it wasn't Peyronie's all along. Which is crazy. He only had congenital curvature the whole time. He got surgery because he wanted to be straight
Peyronie's is not defined by scar tissue, this is a mainstream view based on extreme presentations. Peyronie's is penile inflammation that begins with hematoma (pre Peyronie's) followed by hypoxia, fibrosis and basically damaged parts of the penis. Identifiable scarring is later followed by calcification. Avoid episodes of inflammation and pre-Peyronie's at all costs.
