Title: Am I missing anything?
Post by: Jimmi85 on February 22, 2021, 01:55:05 PM
Hi,

I ordered some supplements at the weekend to begin my treatment
Of Peyronies- I have an upwards curve, no pain and first noticed
Something was wrong a Little over 2 years ago.

I have brushed it under the carpet since but now I am determined
To get on top of things.

I have a GP appointment booked and have taken the first steps to go private
( uk based ) in the hope that I can be seen quicker.

The supps that I plan to take are:

5G of tadalafil
Acetyl L-Carnitine
Vitamin E
Grape seed extract
Castor oil on penis before bed

I would expect I would be prescribed Pentox when I see
The Urologist as well, but is there anything obvious I am
Missing or anything on that list that shouldn't be taken?

I am also looking into a traction or VED , am I best to get both
Or is one better than the other?

Thanks in advance

Good morning Jimmi85,

your first steps sound pretty good. Have you read the Peyronie survival guide of this forum? I wouldn't take Vitamin E, because no study could show any benefit. I would add L-Arginine and in general eat healthy (for example vegetables and fruits instead of chocolate, cookies and other snacks, less meat, drink much water and less softdrinks ...).

I've begun to use only a traction device (Penimaster Pro). Restorex is a highly recommended device of this forum, but my main plaque is right under the glans on the left side, so Restorex is not the correct device for me.
I'll add sessions with a VED this week. You can read a lot of VED and PTT in this forum.

Good luck!

My main plaque is also right under my glans on the left side..this is why I kinda avoided traction devices up till now. Despite the huge price(for a 18 yo dude who lives in what I'd call a 3rd world country that is somewhat expensive so I can't afford it at the moment but I could put money by and get one)...would you recomend the penimaster pro @Nolte94? Like...Is it painful to wear? Im worrying about the plaque under my glans mostly so I wouldn't want to hurt it again.

Yes, I recommend Peniaster Pro, but I've never tried other devices. I've begun with low tension and 1 hour. From day to day I've added another hour up to 5 hours.
~2 monts later I wear the device 4-8 hours daily and my curvature has improved from 45° to ~30°.

At the beginning my penis hurt a bit after a few hours of wearing the device, but not much. The penis has to get used to the traction.

The sessions are different. I would say on average 2 hours, but minimum 1 hour and maximum 3 hours.

Thanks everyone for the replies, I really am grateful.

This might be a silly question, but how do you accurately measure
The curvature?

Also, am I better to wait to see a urologist before I start
On traction or VED?

Lastly, I am finally seeking help since I starting dating 4 weeks ago
And both occasions we tried to have sex I massively struggled
And actually didn't have proper intercourse. It is basically like I'm
A virgin again and I need to find out what works and what doesn't.
She has put things on hold until I know more about the condition
Which obviously makes me feel like sh*t.

I am therefore seriously considering a sex doll so I can find out for
Myself what I can or can't do, I am fairly confident I can have intercourse
But I need to find out for myself what works. I feel really seedy even
Contemplating it but in my head it could be a sensible idea. Does anyone have
Any opinions on whether this is a good idea or completely stupid?

Thanks again

I take a picture every 2 months and measure it on the mobile phone with a tool to rotate the image.

I wouldn' expect to much from your visit with an urologist. Maybe he/she doesn't know anything about the VED and PTT to treat symptoms of Peyronies Disease. But I would speak with the urologist about supplements and meds, because you should become your body checked BEFORE "eating" many pills and combining with f.e. Tadalafil.

Just read this whole thread. Seems like very good advice. I would add salidifil to your daily. About 2.5 mg. It seems to work well with Pentox.

Hi Mr Man,

I'm already on 5G fail tadilifil - is this what you
Meant?

Also, does penile curvature have any connection with strength of erections?

I get that those with Peyronies tend to suffer from ED as well as there is generally less
Blood flow to the penis but if the bend was corrected by say 10 degrees does the equivalent
Erection equivalent also apply?

I can get pretty solid erections 80% of the time but it's the tip where the bend is which is
Making intercourse almost Impossible coupled with the fact that I lose rigidity the second I stop
Any stimulation. Possibly a veneas leak?

Anyway, the VED ( vax air ) arrives on Monday so looking forward to started with that.

Giving helpful tipps would be easier, if you would add a signature with your symptoms. Therefor read the rules and instructions of the forum

Well done  :)

Supplements and drugs are the recommended ones. The oral treatments haven't shown big improvements in studies, that's why you could add PTT and/or VED. This combination helped me to reduce my curvature (curvature of the glans to the left).
