Title: Bruising and red dots on glans after RestoreX
Post by: Dorian on September 07, 2021, 06:35:23 PM
Hello,

I've been using RestoreX for nearly 6 months. In the past month I've noticed some slight bruising and red dots on the top of my glans.

I put a decent amount of tape around the bottom 2/3 of the glans and maybe a quarter inch or so underneath on the shaft. This has not only made it comfortable but I very rarely slip out. I then do my 30 minute session. After, a call with Dr. Trost a few months back, I really cranked up the tension and began really burying the white lines. Prior to that I was probably too conservative.

When I am done, the top of my glans, the portion that is not taped (the tip beyond where tape is) is swollen. It looks like the tape keeps the rest from swelling but the tip easily swells with no restriction. This usually goes down relatively quickly but again in the past month or so I've noticed some mild bruising/discoloration and red dots.

Am I clamping too hard? (I have had to use more tape and clamp harder some times to not slip out with the increased tension.)

Too much tension? (The tension otherwise feels really good especially at the base where I have an issue.)

Has my blood become too thin? (I'm taking all the meds/supplements in my sig.)

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Dorian

Hey Dorian.

Normally what guys here on the board mention when they use too much tension or vacuum in the VED is similar to what you mentioned. Most of the times the effects are not permanent. Some guys give it a break when this happens, for a bit. You say 30 min? Do you take a break in between or you go straight through?

Another thing that may encourage this is Pentox. But lately it's efficacy has been put into question. You can read more about it on Dr. Trost's website.

I do 30 minute straight, sometimes 45 minutes if I'm comfortable and have the time. Morning and evening. It's currently been 12 hrs since I've used the RestoreX and the very tip (top 1/3 of my glans) that sticks out from the tape is slightly discolored. I can see the tape line all the way around. I think I'm going to try to test some alterations in how I do things. I really don't want to take a break entirely as I think the traction has been beneficial in a few ways. I just don't want to cause any damage or sensitivity issues.

Red Dots is a common side effect associated with VED.  You may want to reduce the use of the VED
