Title: VED and plaque type
Post by: justme72 on September 03, 2018, 08:34:38 AM
Was reading one of the VED studies and it had the following statement:

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/10.1111/j.1464-410X.2010.09365.x

"Patients with a soft fleshy plaque had a higher success rate than if the plaque was hard."

Both types had success, was just better if it was soft fleshy. How can you tell which one you are? I had my appt with urologist in May and he said mine was still soft. I was not curving then, just some pain. I am now curving. Some days it feels like it's a bad curve, some days feels like the curve is not as distinguished. Do have a band/hourglassing. Odds it's still soft or is there a better way to tell. Should get my VED in a few weeks fingers crossed. Really hoping this will help!

My plaque can feel big and hard one day and smaller and soft the next. This disease is so weird.

Oh my VED should be on the way soon. Ordered it today after ordering it from the wrong place yesterday :D My urologist in May said my plaque was still soft and new. Hoping it wouldn't calcify in a little over 3 months. It has just started to curve in the last I'd say 6 weeks maybe. And the curve has good and bad days, bad days usually when I've been bad (like a bass weeknd with alcohol and diet). But I notice when I'm good about stretching and diet, it gets better. Hoping adding VED to stretching and diet will get even better.

My urologist didn't suggest VED. I didn't know he couldn't suggest it due to FDA regulations. I did tell him I was researching it online and he just smiled and said that's a very good idea and I'd suggest keep doing that. Didn't dawn on me until now that it could have been a nudged, nudge, wink, wink :D

And thanks re: the quote. That's the key, having hope and trying to stay positive. I'm a personal believer that a positive mind/spirit and a very clean diet and the body can heal, to a degree of course. Everyone is different.

Now if I could get over the mental hurdle of Peyronies Disease and dating, I'd feel much better :D

Def worth adding to your treatment protocol!

VED is AMAZING, the results are profound and better than any damn surgery or injection (unless your case is SO severe that you need those options). Obviously some men will need an impant or some surgery, but VED simply works.

The only reason I dont use it is because of an injury from it long long ago. I may be able to do it again some day and I hope to.

Thanks for all of the replies! Really hoping it helps, though some concern it will hurt. Right now have around 30 degree upward curve (estimated on the degree). Still having erectuons. Wouldn't say they're necessarily painful but more uncomfortable. And there are good days where the curve is less and bad days where it is at the 30 degree range. Thinking it shouldn't take too long for the VED to arrive. Got the email that my order has been processed. Will probably have questions on putting it together/using it. :D Still have hope.

Hey justme,

Starting using a VED is a great idea and great news! Make sure you also take all useful supplements, so it will work better and faster (at least pentox, cialis, ALCAR, L-citrulline and CoQ10)!

All the best

Hey RB,

Sorry for the late answer, I've been away from the forum for quite a time, but coming back stronger than ever right now ;-)!

Well, unfortunately, I finally can't talk as a solid testimony for VED: I had to cycle it on and off, because my inflammation is actually never-ending, and because I actually can't refrain myself from pumping to a 100% erection while in the VED, which seems to in turn feed my inflammation... Honestly I'm not sure of ANYTHING in my case regarding VED and traction, but I've read SO many anecdotal evidence + studies saying that it has great results longt-term, that I would recommend it to anyone without a doubt.

Just like pentox BTW, which never helped me at all during 18+ months... I just seem to be a weird case!

Gabirel - I thought pumping to 100% erection isn't bad as long as you don't hold it in the chamber for too long?
