Title: My shockwave journey
Post by: westerntown on March 19, 2022, 12:54:49 PM
Hello all,

I do not go on the forums as much because I've gotten over the initial phase of terror over my condition. My symptoms are a severe loss of rigidity, traditional erectile dysfunction, hourglassing flaccid, and penile pain. I am 21.

After a 3 month course of the drug Clomid, we reached consensus testosterone was not playing a role in my ed. We talked about possible paths for me- we discussed shockwave and a penile infection into the nerve block.

I am very apprehensive about the anesthetic injection into the nerve block, so I have left that off the table for the next 3 months. The doctor that I saw belongs to an Institution- ucla- so he doesn't make a single dollar off the shockwave it all goes straight to ucla. So it makes me less worried about the scam of a situation if it were to be a sham. However, I do not have many options, so I am shoveling out the money. 500$ a session for 6 sessions

I want to make a journey timeline of my experience since I understand not every man has the money to just spend so freely. I hope this journey helps you all. I have my first appointment next Wednesday and I will report here some time after that.

I think you'll find some benefit from it! Try to use VED as well with it.  I found that it sort of helped in the sense--when I did get an erection, it was wayyy better. However, unlike cialis, the treatments didn't just make me get erections super easily, but I did see a benefit to them!

Day 1:

Got my first session today. Felt like I was getting a massage on my penis. Tissue feels a bit relaxed but not sure if any permanent gains since I only got this 30 minutes ago. The brand of the machine is zimmer

Hi Im back, got my second session yesterday, but got it with a different doctor. Ucla had the radial machine, i did some research and it turns out the radial is the not the suggested device. I found another doctor that does the linear focused machine, and he does them at a much cheaper rate. He is a hollistic doctor and seems like a good guy. Do look often decieve? yes, but this is way better than what ucla was offering me. they were doing 500$ a session for a machine that doesnt even work.

Anyways, just thinking out loud. I got my second treatment yesterday like I said and I felt pretty good after. Felt like my hard flaccid got a lot better. Im also taking this peptide BPC 157. Its supplement suggested by the doctor. A lot of hard flaccid symptoms temporarily went away, however I masturbated and they are back. Like an idiot.

Hopefully, the next treatments will get me better. Will update as I go.

Love always,
West

It's nice to have a doctor who is a good guy, but it does not help your condition.  You need expertise and skill for that.

Shockwave therapy has been largely shown to have no positive results and often negative results.

No need to be so optimistic there, Hawk.

At this point I am going through the motions. Giving all possible conservative treatments the try before exploring anything more invasive. Cialis doesn't work for me, like we talked about, so there are only so may options left.

The shockwave could be doing nothing but it certainly hasn't felt like that so. Even if, I will let the 6 sessions ride out as at this point I am invested.

The price and time feels worth it when I can definitively tell other men to do/not do this treatment.

I am simply going on other posting members on the forum over many years and Dr. Trost's assessment of shockwave.  Rather than being optimistic or pessimistic, I feel a responsibility to make realistic information available so those reading the forum.  Like you, they can make their own decisions.

Understood, but what do you recommend as a course of action when you are 21 and your penis literally does not get hard on cialis? Ive done an ultrasound, and MRI, Ive met with 20+ urologists including Trost. What can be done?

Sure it might be a waste to doo shockwave, but honestly i dont see how symptoms can get much worse.

I'm going into the 5th session later this week. Absolutely no improvement and- just like hawk said- I may even be getting worse. Corpus spongiosum and glans don't inflate, although I don't know for sure if that was the shockwave or if it was occurring before since I would never see my penis hard before shockwave anyways, so I never really checked.

They say after the 6th session, you gotta wait another month for the results to kick in. Boy, I hope they're right. I'm slowly beginning to make peace with the idea of just forgetting about my penis. Which is really bad, but for some reason appears more appealing now than ever. I guess I'm thinking out loud now. I'll just update the journal when the sessions are over.

May the force be with you,
West

Westerntown,

If you can begin to forget about your penis, I promise life will get a lot easier and you'll climb your way back to having a fruitful sex life.  I took me ~2 years to get over my penis injuries.  And obviously I still fight it, but your brain will get used to it.

It also took me like 1.25 years from when this first happened to me until I randomly started seeing semi-erections and filling out.  Given you're young, your body will naturally bounce back faster than others in this forum.  So stay the course.   ESWT may end up working in the end!

I did 4 sessions of Shocked Waves, made my deformity worse!!!!! I have an autoimmune disease, every "therapy" I'm trying is making my penis worse, I'm guessing my body reacts negatively to anything I try.
