Title: Fasting one day a week?
Post by: popopo on December 15, 2019, 12:56:34 PM
Hi, I know a lot of you people tried fasting and had some succes with it. But, I also read that something like intermittent fasting is not very succesfull. So what would be an effective way to start fasting and reap some of the benefits while not having to go to extreme lenghts? Would it be okay to just fast one day every week? My main goal is generall health and burning off some fat (while ideally still gaining stenght). During this one day fast I will still be consuming water and coffee, but I will not eat anything until the morning after.

I'm very interested in this too, man. Seems like short-term fasting could be more, or at least equally beneficial, as long-term fasting. But I don't know.

Even one day a week makes a massive difference in my life and metabolism, I highly recommend it to anyone. Just because you can't do a prolonged fast or daily fast, doesn't mean you shouldn't do one once a week!

Helping your insulin and metabolism and everything is all fine and good but when has fasting helped uncurve a penis? Has anyone ever here provided before and after photos?

I agree Samsung, it may not regrow your penis in any way, but at this point I'm just trying to take care of the rest of my body and hopefully my peyronies progression will finally stop as a result. My main goal right now is to go from 100kg to about 80/90 while increasing my strenght as much as possible. It may not repair my penis, but at least I'll have a better overall health and sports performance at that point. I'm 193cm though, so 100kg might sound like a lot, but I still don't look fat or anything, but I could definitely add some muscle and lose some fat.

I got a nice new update. Did fasting yesterday and it was actually harder than I thought. My stomach was growling like crazy and it felt like my guts where full of air. I also had very bad diarrhea. I assume that's just my body getting used to this and possibly my guts being empty. Anyway, next morning I had no hunger, but I did break my fast (no need to overdo it). I also do strenght training on monday's and because I fasted for a day and considering I'm not very athletic, I was expecting to see a slight drop in strenght. However, today I improved all my lifts since last friday, so in other words: Fasting for one day does not make you weaker. I know most bodybuilders eat like 6 times a day and are scared to not eat for a whole day in fear or losing strenght/muscle mass. I was too, but I'm convinced now that fasting doesn't harm strenght progression as long as you have some bodyfat to burn.

Good to hear popopoo, everything breaks down to one of the few actual facts about the disease. And that is: that something that works for one person doesn't work for the other one.
I think that statement covers all treatments BUT fasting.
Every body works basically the same while fasting, just in different rates & efficiency depending on age and overall health imo.
But what penis-related benefits could I expect if I choose to fast once a week?

I've been keto for about 18 months, lost weight and feel better.  I don't really doing any intermittent fasting, but if you're interested a fellow on you tube has great free videos on both and their impact on weight loss, overall health and longevity.  search for; KETO KAMP

I have done 4 day fasts. My preference typically is for 2 day fasts. The second day is much easier than the first.
