Title: Xiaflex and VED
Post by: Dorian on June 27, 2022, 08:24:40 PM
Hi all,

I'm not really seeing anything about Xiaflex and VED.

Is it contraindicated?

I'm wondering if, in the same way Restorex is beneficial immediately after Xiaflex for curves, if VED would offer benefits for hourglassing/dents/hinging? It would seem that if Xiaflex alone, without Restorex, does little for curves that likely Xiaflex alone would do nothing for hourglassing and related without outward lateral pressure/modeling.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Thanks,
Dorian

I see that VED is contraindicated, by the manufacturer, while being treated with Xiaflex.

Does anyone know how long after the 2nd shot, VED can be resumed?

I feel like the lateral stretch VED gives me would be most beneficial with the plaque compromised and given my main problem of hinge/dent/hourglass. Of course, I don't want to damage anything or invoke a fracture.

I will ask my doctor, but figure someone here has to have been through this.

Thanks,
Dorian
