Title: Public showers
Post by: popopo on October 09, 2019, 10:22:56 AM
Hey people, I know everybody's case is different, but what is your experience using public showers? Please tell me if you have changes in size or shape from peyronies, if it changed the way your flaccid penis looks and if it's a concern for you when taking public showers. All your experience either good or bad would be appreciated. Has anyone ever seen anything or commented on it? I'm asking because I wanna play basketball, but showering in public makes me paranoid because I lost a lot of volume and feel like people will notice my weird/small penis.

It will probably only effect you as you know your prior state as penis' come in so many different sizes and shapes.

My flaccid penis isn't much changed with Peyronie's.  There is a "twist" to it but I don't think anyone would notice unless they got *very* close....

Be confident, my friend.  Let this wretched disease affect your life as little as possible.  Play basketball, shower with the boys, enjoy life.

My two cents.

I've been playing racquetball years before peyronies and three years with peyronies.  The mens league at my local community center has the same core group of players every season. The guys who shower after the matches have all seen me naked, including penis and scrotum. No one has ever made a comment on my penis, before or after peyronies.  When flaccid, my penis turns slightly more to the left than before peyronies, but luck for me, it looks very normal.

If you want to play basketball, play basketball and don't be afraid to hit the showers after playing. Everyone is more worried about their own shortcomings and don't have time to study you in the shower.

Just my two cents.

i used to walk around the locker room naked and not think a thing about it- but now even when soft- Peyronie causes my penis to angle out which makes it look hard even though its not- so i don't want people thinking i'm walking around hard.

thanks for your input guys, I think I'll just go to a training and see how it goes. No need to stay away because of this. I don't want his disease to take over my life even more than it already has. I'll probably get less anxious when I showered in public a couple of times already, the start is probably the most difficult.

Hey bentbigd, I doubt people think you really have a hardon. What sports do you play and does this bother you to the point where you stopped showering in public?

Hey popopo-   I was just referring to my gym after lifting weights and running.  It doesn't bother me and I still shower, i just keep a towel on now when walking to the showers and when in the showers I don't "show off" as much - meaning I'm more modest about it now- i used to just not care before.  When I go in the steam room, I used to not cover up, but now I wear a towel.

I don't know how competitive of basketball you want to play.  But if you set a screen, make sure to protect yourself with both hands.  A knee to the penis could cause more damage.  Normally, in a screen you cover your groin with both hands to protect testicles from harm.  But with Peyronies, you need to protect the whole package.

At out community center the showers on three walls, so when you're facing the shower you have some privacy.  With gang showers around center poles, there's not much privacy no mater how you shower.

Let us know when you start playing ball.
